Red Light District was less commercial to you? It's hard to see how you hold this opinion. The scope of Chicken N'Beer is more broad, better production, I've actually never heard anyone put three Ludacris albums over Chicken N'Beer, nor Red Light District...
You wildin but at least you're unique...
RLD was VERY commercial. âChicken and beerâ just felt commercial and generic, like âletâs try to recreate âword of moufâ with none of the same hunger or inspiration genericâ.
Iâm the opposite. Iâve never heard anyone celebrate âChicken and Beerâ more than a week after it released. Outside of California, Tacoma, and months in few other places Iâve lived in the south my whole life. And even thatâs mostly around Atlanta and itâs metro area.
Everybody I know holds âword of moufâ or âBack for the first timeâ in the highest regards. âp*ssy poppinâ stayed in rotation at parties though.
By â03 we were checking more for TI, Kast, still listening to Lil Jon, local shyt from Oomp Camp, Dipset/SP, or were hearing Jeezy for the first time. âRed light Districtâ kinda made everybody pay attention again.
