I ain't gonna single the young man out clearly he still is a very skilled player, but if you not a true big man, you more than likely are not getting a lot of double digit or high rebound numbers by really boxing cats out or out jumping guys. Some just have a knack for where the ball will be and those guys are on a short list but besides that most of them are uncontested

It speaks to a greater point that we need to stop using box score stats in this manner. Every action during a game should be valued according to its impact, and not valued any higher just because it's in the box score. A player's points, assists, rebounds etc aren't a direct reflection of a player's impact, value, or skill.

Luka's value/impact/skill has very little do with the rebounds he gets, which is the same for every player, in general.

Thank you for posting that. And the real thing to notice is he isn't playing shyt for defense on a lot of those possessions, which is the only way he ends up near the basket with no one around him.

Except people were saying last year that he was doing the exact same shyt. He's abandoning his defensive responsibility and not even trying to box out in order to grab rebounds that would just go to his big men otherwise.

You don't have to hate on it, but don't bring up those rebound totals as if they mean something. Those sorts of rebounds mean nothing. If a player is getting a lot of offensive boards or if they're the main guy securing defensive boards on a team that struggles to end possessions, THEN it matters. If a guard is just taking rebounds from his big men because he wasn't out on his man then no one should be bragging about it.
