AD averaging 25/12 and cats talking like he's Bismack Biyombo:dahell:

Mavs are already the top rim-protecting team in the league, and then add an elite one

Ya talking emotionally if you think this is a bad trade for Dallas
Based on age it's a bad trade talent wise it's a great fit. Lakers have more to prove with this move imo. They basically have no picks, going to be expensive finding players in fa

For the absolute short term of this season it's fine, they're basically a .500 team without Luka this year, so adding AD to the mix should very much keep them in the playoff mix. Long term it's a bad move. Negotiating with only the Lakers and not allowing other teams to have a proper trade market is a bad move. That's the gist of it.

shyt is still unbelievable, you just don't trade a perennial All-NBA player unless he asks for it. Not only that but you don't even put the message out league-wide that said perennial All-NBA player is available to maximize the return. I just don't buy the weight concern narrative, that's a bunch of bullshyt put out there in an attempt to save face. This team was literally just in the fukking NBA Finals. I'm gonna call it right now and say this is the worst trade in NBA history for a team who had a (potential) all time great and fukked it up. And like I said I love how Davis has played this year and he's been able to stay on the court up until this point, point is however they could've gotten way more. But I need to know what the real reason for this shyt is because I just don't believe the weight shyt. Ownership just being cheap I can maybe buy but still that's a tough sell....
They want us to believe they traded a top 40-50 player of all time at 25 who just led them to the finals cause “he’s fat”.

Do they think we’re stupid Cartier?

just realized kyrie is 32 about to be 33 in march. ad is 31 about to be 32 in march.

both of these guys are as good as they're ever going to be. and kyrie is one of my favorite players to watch. but being honest, neither have that championship leader gene in their dna.

luka has the championship leader gene but he doesn't have the dedication yet. plus the lakers don't have the pieces unless they get big time talent when bron retires or leaves.

this trade just doesn't make sense to me for dallas. lakers got a great talent, but seems they're chasing his name and an image rather than building a championship pedigree. weird considering every generation of lakers teams won a title since 2000 (minus short 2 year gap between kobe retirement and lebron signing).

Type of deal that makes it hard to believe in this league.

It's undeniable the league favors the Lakers. Somehow they always end up with the best players. You can go through decades and the Lakers always have the best players on their team -
  • Wilt
  • Kareem
  • Magic
  • Shaq and Kobe
  • AD
  • Lebron
  • Luka
It's like Real Madrid. But at least RM has to pay crazy transfer fees to get their players. Other teams just give the Lakers their best players.

This Luka trade has a lot of question marks that the league SHOULD look into but they won't.

:dahell: it is
Ad is turning 32 he's only going to get worse and worse.

In three years ad will be 35 and doncic will be 28

In the NBA currently out of the top 25 scorers only Bron, curry, durant are over 34. And all three impact is barely there

That's why this trade is horrible Davis prob has like 2-3 seasons left at this level

Doncic has like 10
