Lupe had two amazing albums back to back and hasn’t been the same since lasers honestly

Lupe has shown that he can effortlessly use any flow, make hit records, make storytelling joints, make concept joints, make abstract shyt, make emotional shyt, make battle raps, make dope hooks, and most importantly, make classic albums. He's one of the most complete MC's there is.

If he had Jimmy backing him, he wouldn't be the same Lupe. He would have had to make some compromises to be what other people evisioned him to be.
And Lupe is one of my favorites, easily. If it's about preference of who I like to listen to more, he' ranks very high, top 10-5 easily. Big picture, all time, not nearly as high.

I’ve always though that lyrically he is the best rapper of all time and it’s pretty clear too and musically I like what he does with rap his concepts in his music are so out the box but they work well favorite rapper of all time

I mean, you can say "stans" are pushing a narrative if you want to...but what about all this other stuff that solidifies the "G.O.A.T." talk...like the things I mentioned? You just conveniently want to overlook all that? Lol.
Lupe is one of them practitioners that you kind of have to be a high-level practitioner in the field yourself to fully and completely appreciate what he does and can do. If you're just a rap fan who just listens to rap you may still feel he's amazing (or not, like some of yall, lol) and that's cool...but the people who actually do this at an alien level know exactly what's up and what they're hearing and the level of difficulty and all that type shyt... that's why you hear so many greats always saying Lupe is a whole different caliber MC

Seeing his evolution from the early 2000’s as a hood rapper that almost got caught up in the game to his transition in the mid/late 2000’s to now is fascinating.
