i aint even watched the video yet and i agree with him :ld: he comin outta one of the most murderous cities in the country and all he talk about is killin... guns all in his video (or even worse "finger guns" :comeon:) and shyt. i thought all that shyt ended in the 90s :why: and now katie got bandz and all these other copycat muhfukkas :snoop: its startin to take back off...

:what: This is for-real.

I don't know nor plan to find out what's a Chief Keef.

shyt's disgusting, solely because of the numerous sad stories that comes out every other week about young Black people being shot dead in Chicago. :snoop:

Nah, I didn't miss the point.

I'm saying fukk Chief Keef and anybody who loves him. That simple view point is mine. Lupe has nothing to do with that. :pachaha:

I guess so, but i don't see how ANYONE can say they want to help to improve black people and their conditions but at the same time say some sh1t like "Fvck Chief Keef" that doesn't promote understanding or any sort of change, it's a simplisitic world view that doesn't foster any discussion.

Dudes like Malcolm X lived that lifestyle so he came from a place of understanding and rarely if ever said "Fvck *insert black man here*" because
it would hurt his movement more than help it grow.

Also, while I agree completely that the negative effects rap music has on our people is exaggerated, anyone who truly believes that it has NO effect is horribly wrong.

Music is extremely powerful. It influences people for better or for worse, and you're bugging if you think Chief Keef for example isn't inspiring and influencing some nikkas in the Chi and everywhere else to be like him and live that life.

I disagree, I think bigger issues like terrible education, living in poverty, growing up around violence and having it in or around the home, parents without college degrees, peer pressure etc. would effect the Chief Keef's of the world leaving a big impact on them before they even got their hands on a Rap Record.
Mainly because the sh1t isn't a rap record for them, they don't turn on B.E.T. and see it.
They walk outside and see their neighbors doing it, their friends growing up in it, family members dying etc.

That's why I always feel like Hip Hop conversations involving it's "influence" almost always seem to skip over what goes on in situations filled with poverty. The same things take place all over the world, not only involving black youth but white, hispanic, asian and other races and nationalities that probably didn't even grow up hearing rap records.

Like the bolded part of your post just doesn't make sense, violence like this is not new in the Chi so obviously it can't be Chief Keef influencing it.
There was already a gang problem, Chief Keef just happens to be an artist that blew up from the area and speaks on it, things wouldn't be any better or worse whether he dropped a record or not.

This guy right here, this is a poster that I respect.

Rep + Dap headed your way.

Good points, taking all parties into account and an understanding of the problem.

Then you have AOL Barr coming in and telling us how he preaches safe sex, invented the internet, is the biggest salesman in the universe and threatening to e-DDT people through e-tables.

black love, unity, and music
Im certain the dumb fukks shytting on Lupe in this thread are either stupid c00ns in the suburbs whose only encounter with violence is in the movies or music or there are likely ignorant criminals that are either fresh out of jail or on their way back. Either way they are both horribly misguided and likely doomed to destruction. The problem here is definitely not Chief Kief's alone. I blame the absence of the Black FATHER and the overall disappearance of the stable black family to raise these kids and guide the growth and development of the youth. Only when more black families work together to build strong communities will the influence and proliferation of Chief Keif-like artists be minimized. Until then, expect more violence, ignorance, and further devolvement of the black community. (On the bright side at least the beats bang right?:manny: )

And better believe the whites and jews that run hiphop could care less if black eradicate themselves while bumping this filth. In fact they would probably prefer it as they can profit off the music as the youth are bumping this shyt during their shoot outs. Furthermore, think of all the money they would save burying these little negroes as opposed to housing them in jails on the tax payers dime. Its getting expensive jailing all these Negroes as it is. If black folk refuse to acknowledge the demonic undertones that seem to be so pervasive in todays hiphop, they can rest assured that the further destruction of the black community in America will be inevitable.

Needless to say I'll be supporting Lupe to the fullest extent once his magnum opus Food and Liquor II drops. Quality hip hop and hiphop artists must be supported at all costs..

:snoop: Its an embarrassing day for hip-hop when clueless people would rather prefer Chief Keef over Lupe Fiasco
I don't care if you don't like his beats and whatnot, glorifying youth violence is poisonous to the genre and sure as hell ain't hip-hop

And people wonder why rap music isn't respected :stopitslime:
