Baby = Jesus
Magi = the three kings/wisemen who looked upon baby jesus while adoring him.

Mary gave birth to the baby that got the adoration from the 3 magi.

Sway was the one that made it a question. The girl didn't even answer the question, I could see how it would get misunderstood.

Usually I don't like gimmicks but I played the album backwards and it's way better that way.

I love this record brehs. Never been a big Lupe fan, and cant say I like most of the beats, But I am so intrigued by this record that I am even gonna buy the physical next week. What Lupe did with his songwriting here is other worldly. Lupe created a monster of a record here. Kinda sad you Can't buy a physical copy of Youth & Tetsuo though...

I get the concept of resurrection and the videogame theme when you play the record backwards. But, what is the thema when you play the record in the 'normal' direction? Is there a central theme to be found, comparable to when its played backwards?

Its chronological... If you play it backwards you start at a re-spawn and go through the life of this character... I say try it both ways and see how it feels to you.

I understand that. I'm saying the actual overlaying theme of the songs, how they connect to perhaps an album encompassing storyline - not just the titles.

I have only gotten up to Chopper when doing this but we start at the re-incarnation on TRON, then the birth on Adoration, the mom on Madonna, it then takes us to the environment on Deliver, and in Chopper you get actual character traits of the un-named character... could be MYH

The resurrection/birth/death of Christ still works wonderfully

And as an album, its sequenced even better because the first single Deliver is now track 5 like most albums are.

Matter of fact, the request for deliverance after the death of Christ....

Atlantic really fukked up. There is money to be MADE off of this song. It's dope as hell and has the ability to appeal to a bigger audience than hiphop with the beat alone.

By the way, this album has single handedly made me fall in love with Nikki Jean
