AZ, Lupe is too abstract at times.

Lupe would rank higher lyrically than most, AZ included...I haven't listened to AZ in a min (solo) but I always thought he was kinda boring/monotone, but he has his strengths.

I think seeing as how they are both technically proficient it has to come to down to who's a better song writer. I think Lu is excellent at constructing songs most of the time, even songs that I don't like are well structured and have purpose whether it be for a hit or something to be performed live.

I pick AZ, been at a high level lyrically pretty much his whole career while I feel Lupe is very inconsistent.



AZ is almost like the perfect lyricist, he is incredible.

az is a one a trick pony for the most part yeah he got multis but so does 90 percent of the game and like i said his rhyme schemes aren't as intricate imo.
