It was Tuesday when I saw him, figured Friday I could call him
Woke up early Wednesday morning, flew a chick in from New Orleans
She ain't that average bytch who be dogging for dikk
You know them chicks that get you sick when they keep calling
Up in Nordstrom's for a fresh pair to Floss 'em
Of course with footwear I be that first nikka that sport 'em
Caught 'em, before the salesmens even had time to assort 'em
Bought 'em, before any celeb stylist eva saw 'em
Wore em soon as I copped 'em in the spot playing possum
Debating my destination, lacing, weighing my options
Celly started rocking, I anwsered, "What's poppin'?"
They anwsered and said, "They shot him, now the hood got a problem"
I had to swallow, reaching out for my water bottle
Tryin to figure what nikka, why and by who, then
Before you know it, the other voice told it
It was homie from the old click I just seen and spoke with

Come on dogs..az is way too smooth.
I should post the first verse of this song never change ...
He really paints a picture

Hard choice. Like said above, two different type of rappers.

I slightly prefer the abstractiveness of Lupe tho.

Lyrically it's no question that Lupe's better. AZ has the better delivery though.

Lupe at his best is dope, I think it is a question cause I think AZ is a lot better lyrically personally, just because you have an abstract style at times doesn't automatically make you better. Your word usage is a large part of it, the effectiveness, AZ's is near perfect. He has exceptional multies but also content within those multies, that isn't an easy thing to do, so many artists do the multies style but are talking pointless bullshyt or aren't saying shyt, AZ brings it across flawlessly, he's 1 of the best lyricists to me. Lupe at his best is dope, but he isn't at his best enough for me.
