That's the thing if it was an alek wek or precious choice I could see how dudes in this thread complaining that this was a troll choice by a white mag but lupita has the looks where it shouldn't elicit so much skepticism especially on supposedly "pro-black" website. Good point. It's pretty much a flavor of the year/most interesting at the moment list. Vanilla Ice was part of their "50 Most Beautiful People Of The Year" list one year .

I said in the last Lupita thread. Minus this people magazine issue her threads always go plat. Every lupita thread goes plat. Never have i seen a woman evoke so much of a reaction here.

I'm not too sure what is about that makes her evoke so much of a reaction on here but she does. There are many women with fades and many dark skin so I dunno why she is such a touchy issue...

I'll take a stab at it for 50k. I really think its her overall package. If we are honest the only black women that has as much style and grace as Lupita are the old chicks now like Felica Rashard and Angela Bassett. Nikkas have been bombarded with the propaganda of black women being straight sex objects (bytches and hoes) that there is a cognitive dissonance when they see her. She is the epitome of what being 'a lady' is right now. Brehs have forgotten how that looks and don't know how to respond to it anymore.

Lupita is outright stunning to observe...not just with her looks but her entire presentation.

"Classic" beauty for me is someone who has the facial structure to be a model. Like she just exudes high class and to me that is lupita.
