Lyft and Uber drivers

I appreciate the advice......but if the shyt isn't busy like that right now it's cool. i'm just tryin to get a feel for the locations. learn the hot spots. once I get everything down, the busy season should be around the corner.

I've taken Uber many times and the only people satisfied with it are those that do it randomly


Like a guy who does it before work or one who was so used to waking up early for his real job he went out early mornings on his day off


But hey give it a try I wish you the best, set up a tray with candy/water and have plenty of phone charges for that extra tip

If your plan is to do this on the side then I guess you can just start right up, just don't expect to make those 3-4 bills a week

But remember the gas cost and wear on your vehicle

yea but you said you be making 1500 a week during busy season. so how did you do it?...you just warning us about the slow season. that's good. but put us up on game for when busy season comes.

breh you actin like ima die if I start right now......you talking about just waiting one month. I'm not putting all my eggs into this right now. I'm just strictly trying to get some experience. get a feel for it. and by the time I'm really into it it'll be the busy season again. I'm not looking at this as a career. pretty much anything from this is a bonus. but I don't mind waiting a month for it to pick up.

Go for it, no need to wait. Get the true feel for it now, if you don't like it, come back a later time and give it another go.

I'm saying right not its worth it to work. Getting another gig November through February is much smarter. Anything that's stable because it's not worth siting in your car all day, driving in circles or possibly getting into an accident because of the weather, I can give hints when it's busy, but right now people are desperate. So I don't drive during this time of year, because it's pennies on the dollar in comparison.

alright so I got approved for lyft. they got a 500 dolar bonus if you do 100 rides within 30 days so i'ma try to get that. but my main question is how do yall calculate your taxes as you drive?.....like if yall pull in 100 in a day, what do you set aside for taxes?.....do you guys save all your receipts?

I DID 300 ON NEW YEAR'S EVE FOR 6 HOURS. TAKE ROUGHLY 30 PERCENT OUT FOR TAXES AND 35 FOR GAS. SOMETIMES IT IS WORTH IT AND SOMETIMES IT SUCKS. I'M NOT REALLY SURE IF DOING IT FULL TIME IS WORTH IT.

The wear and tear on the vehicle damn near makes this shyt seem pointless over the long haul unless you're using some throwaway. You're paying for gas too. Some cab companies even make employees cover gas. It's a tax write off but still....

Side job status only. I like the idea of the family mentioned here doing it together and no doubt pooling their cash.

Put 30℅ of the money you make on the side for taxes.

just made 300 hundred this weekend. after putting gas and setting aside taxes.....plus I got that 500 dollar bonus for hitting my 100 rides in 30 days......shyt has been cool so far. all in all it's enough to cover my bills. plus i've met some interesting people. and got 3 numbers from some ho's. gonna smash one this week.....had one bytch who was begging me to smash the entire way to her house...she was drunk as hell....I was like settle down......dropped her off and bounced....bytch gave me a 1 star.......also met a chic who works for wu-goo with killa priest and ghost.....I usually work around 2am to 6am on the weekdays. a lot of people need rides to work around those times.

what's fukked up is that she was my first 1 star rating. I had a perfect 5.0 before then. and that shyt dropped me to a 4.7. I was hot.
