What was Ma$e was doing pre Bad Boy didn't look or sound easy. His work before Bad Boy is what got him signed. He was raw and polished just pure bars. Puff doesn't get enough credit for what he did man.

puff did a lot for ma$e, big, mary j blige, jodeci, faith evans, the lox,112,black rob, g dep etc
puff helped smooth out those edges with all of those artists and helped bring out the best in them
what i meant was, ma$e made his rhymin' and writin' durin' his bad boy years look easy in the way that he approached it (again, partly thanks to puff but it still took ma$e havin' the talent to do so) his whole persona was just "too cool"

These two have always been Puff's cornerstones for Bad Boy. Everyone else after weren't on this level or were copies (Loon/Shyne)

Mase is from harlem; flowing is part of the culture over there. Mase, Cam, Gdep, Max B, Juelz, Big L, and even Asap Rocky, are all examples of what harlem produces flow-wise.
