Production was maney as hell. Dre shytted on 'Mall's producer (Khayree) in the same song and effectively ended his career too. 90's was wild :whew:

Yeah, he went in hard on this shyt! :scust::picard:

I had this album too! I got into Mac Dre's music in like 2001 and then I started going back to his older shyt and finding more music I liked. I think this album came out in 99' right? First album I bought of Dre's was Mac dre's the Name :wow:

This shyt right here :lawd:

I was a huge fan of his during his run from 96-02. Rapper Gone Bad is my favorite album of his. Folks clown, but he was official, never took his foot off the gas, and cut his own lane with no fukks given. To be out here during this time was amazing. I snuck off house arrest to grab the Ronald Dregan/Genie of the Lamp combo when it dropped. This is when he really started getting weird and shortly after these albums dropped people started jumping on his hyphy wave, even though his Thizzelle Washington album preceded them by a couple years. Once STUPID hit the radio a few months later, he really started to make a name for himself on a much bigger level than he previously had.

I always had love for The Bay (the west coast as a whole, really). The Bay has always been so unique to me. Some of the greatest come from there.

Yeah, I like how Dre did his own thing with his own crew and they did it independently too. Dre had a original style too. He really didn't sound like nobody. I like how cool and laid back he was with his rapping style.

I always wondered was the influence of X the turn in his music or was he already popping X before the Ronald Dregan/Genie of the Lamp albums?
