The phone is her property. He has no right to steal it from her.

If she's causing a distraction he can send her to the office
this is why i say that there needs to be a policy that isn't up to a teacher's discretion, but stop acting like he took her phone home with him. taking something away from a child that you're basically babysitting for an hour (and yes they are basically babysitters which is why parents were bytching about reopening schools in the pandemic so they could get their free childcare back) isn't stealing property.

No I need to be able to communicate with my kids.
how were people able to communicate with them before cell phones existed? they called the office of the school and the message was relayed. yall act like cell phones have existed forever and parents were able to be texting their children 24/7.

When I was in school 1.5 decades ago, we had our electronics confiscated if caught with during class. If a parent or guardian needed to reach said person, they called the front office. Looking at the video, the other kids had headphones plugged in their phones. My assumption is that she was probably on TikTok or face timing in class being disruptive and got disciplined.

Kinda weird how you're caping for the cac teacher
:patrice:

The phone does not belong to him, so he has no right to steal it from her. It's her property. Especially with how expensive phones are now and all the information that's on it.

Yes we are taking the side of a professional educator over that of a mentally handicapped child who brought a weapon to school.

Who raised you and how do we make sure it doesn’t happen again?

All these cacs coming out of the woodworks all of a sudden to defend their fallen comrade.

He stole her phone. She asked for it back. He didn't give her her phone back. She did what she had to do. I applaud her for standing up for herself.

I was raised by bears. Black bears.

Oh and she is catching Multiple felonies
Assault a teacher felony. Weapon in school felony. She did that at least twice another felony. Dummy all over a phone addiction.
Lol no.

Do you know the statute for carrying peppery spray in the county this school is located in?

I second this. Surprised to see how many people want children stripped of their rights to have a cell phone in school.

If not for cell phones we wouldn’t know half of the fukkery that goes on in American schools.

Also it was ok for schools to be in our homes during COVID but not for our homes to be in schools via phones?

I work from home now

if I was playing around on my phone not getting my job done in the office pre WFH, I would lose my job

lastly I'm not a child and I'm not sitting around distracting other children who are there with the right to learn and not be distracted by some other child who has chosen to play around on their phone during class.

:unimpressed:

if the phone is more important than school, why send your child to school?
