Easy. A phone box inside the class. All phones go in the box on silent. If you have your phone on you, you are removed from class, serve detention and receive a $25 fine. Can't graduate unless you pay your fines. Can't transfer unless fine is paid.
So well off kids can misbehave be fukk ups and afford to pay their fines without issue. They will go to college and continue to get passes when they become adults. The poor kids who can’t pay the fines are just fukked up and won’t graduate:francis:

punishment should never involve money when it comes to kids :yeshrug:

She’s a child on school property, she has no rights. The cac is probably going to sue the school district on grounds of unsafe work environment, win some cash and move to a rich suburb where his talents are appreciated. He was likely only there because they promised to pay his student loans. The student will have a felony assault charge and likely be expelled all because her parents didn’t instill in her the respect for authority and educators. This will only hurt the district and the Black students who do want to learn as the school will likely have to cut costs to pay the lawsuit and raise the salary and benefits to find any teacher that will work there.

Look, If you don’t like the rules of civilized society you can form a commune and entertain all your ratchet spawn there. Nobody is making you participate. :yeshrug:

Schools need a police officer on each floor.

Teacher should be able to radio to a police officer if a student is being disruptive

Thread is legit embarrassing.

It is in fact 100% fine (legally speaking) for a teacher to confiscate a cell phone.

And yes, before people ask, I looked this up specifically for TN.

TLR sits around all day complaining about Gen Z....look at this thread. Grown men and women don't know what they're talking about and are giving their children crash dummy level advice.

"Nobody can take your phone!"....

Like I said, it's embarrassing.

Fred.

You see why sh*t fcked up now? Its the PARENTS of these dumb a$$ kids, thats the issue. Generation X did this.

In some cases it's not that simple. You got kids who parents can't pick them up because they don't have a vehicle. Some parents work in the suburbs nowhere near the school. Emergency situations those kids have to get on the bus. Seen it a billion times.
That transition time may not be for another 55 minute though. That could make a difference in an emergency.

Are you really young? Because in my day, if something like that happened the parent just calls the office and a student aide brings a note to the student's classroom.

It's a hell of a lot less disruptive than kids having their phones with them 24/7. They've proven that people with phones are more distracted than people without phones even when they're not looking at them. Just the fact that you have the phone and are thinking about it is legit a distraction, on top of all the times they use it to check out of the actual class content.

Then put your phone in the box as required. Yes money absolutely should be involved. It's the one thing these kids actually care about. How hard is it to just follow the rules?
