Kids these days are entitled thinking they can do what they want in school. She’s now gonna probably be charged for assaulting a teacher with a weapon. A teacher can take your phone away and give it back with parent’s consent.
Again, BY ATTENDING SCHOOL, YOU AGREE TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION CODE OF CONDUCT. WHICH STATES A SCHOOL STAFF MEMBER CAN IN FACT CONFISCATE A STUDENT'S CELL PHONE.
Had to Bush you for this goofy ass shyt.
Fred.
at you throwing the bum out of the Coli classHoly shytIt’s obvious a lot of y’all don’t work in schools or have ever dealt with unruly disrespectful kids.
The drop box idea doesn’t work, I’ve actually tried that. They were bringing fake phones and everything while still using their real phone to make TikToks and get on Snapchat while learning was supposed to be taking place.
The job of the teacher is to educate while providing the safest environment possible catered towards learning. It’s impossible to do that when you have 20 students with their phones out.
A lot parents really don’t care about their child being educated, what they really want is a glorified babysitter from the time the kid is picked up in the morning until the time they are dropped back off at home in the afternoons.
20 years ago when I was a student I would not have dared talk to an adult how these kids talk to adults today. Parents and others co-sign that ish though then when the kid grows up and starts having real world problems they don’t understand what’s wrong. You didn’t raise their azz right is what’s wrong.
These teachers deal with all this kinda drama and more to make maybe 40K a year. It’s disrespectful and down right embarrassing.
I’m glad I moved into more of admin role but I see people tap dance and juelz defending this type of stuff far to often.

There's no real need to take phones away from students. It just causes trouble. Also, what could happen if the student has a legit need to keep it on them?(medical condition, expecting a phone call, etc..

Stealing would mean he’s taking it home. He probably would have given it back after class. She lost the right to have the phone on her when she didn’t follow the rules, or respect his authority in class. She was told to put it away. Since she chose not to put it away, it was taken away temporarily. If she wouldn’t put the phone away, do you think she’d willingly go to the office?Still doesn't give the teacher the right to steal her property. He can send her to the office or suspend her
Some real dumb parents in this thread![]()
The issue with things like this is schools should be a community where principals, teachers, parents, and students have an understanding if a parent or child has special needs or circumstances. Someone earlier brought up situations where a kid may have responsibilities or transportation issues that change frequently. Again, teachers and school administration can be made aware that this child has special circumstances and figure out the best solution. There's no real need to take phones away from students. If anything, just dock points or shyt from them anytime you see them using it. Years ago one of my teachers did that lol
This is why these kids are featured on WSHH weekly. Dumbass ParentsGood on her.
The phone doesn't belong to him...why is he taking it?
Won’t be long before there be a mass number of teacher. Shortages, strikes, and schools shutting down. Because of how stressed out these teachers are. From school shootings, to students putting hands on them. I already heard that some schools. In Chicago has already shutdown smh.
