this shyt doesn't really hit home until one, or their loved ones, is a victim of the violence.

i've seen this shyt traumatize people, families and communities.

i've seen the toughest gangstas humbled. even worse is they become so traumatized it hurts them so much and turns them into savages. at that point there's no getting out.

Why cant i just hate Donald Sterling without someone bringing up starving kids in africa. fukk outta here.

Exactly. I really don't like those kinds of videos that try to dictate where you should focus your outrage. How about just acknowledging more than one problem?

Yea, anytime black people have one cac to focus their anger on some clown comes out of nowhere and says

BEFORE YOU GET UP IN ARMS ABOUT DONALD STERLING YOU SHOULD ADDRESS VIOLENCE IN CHICAGO.

Basically cacs are saying you dont have the right to be angry until every black issue is resolved which is ironic because thers a cac orbiting pretty much every black issue.

This video isn't meant to lessen the degree of Donald Sterling's comments. Its meant for us to prioritize our commitments. And the fact that you had such a major out cry for one man's commits and not for the ongoing epidemic of black on black murders is a shame.

Just because it isn't blasted on CNN,Fox News,etc... Doesn't mean black people aren't outraged about the problems in our community. We do not control the media.

It's deeper than just being "dumb". He was actively disenfranchising black people with his influence and there are many people just like him who continue to feed the system of white supremacy. And white supremacy is largely responsible for the high black poverty rates and hence the high rates of violence in the impoverished neighborhoods.

That is completely false. There are many black groups speaking out against the violence and trying to solve the problem. One of the solutions has been getting more jobs for the community.

Donald Sterling is low hanging fruit.

It's a shame that we can't get more organized to tackle larger issues, but that doesn't make pursuit of his removal from NBA ownership invalid. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.

Black on Black violence is a symptom of larger institutional problems. And to be honest, if I made a list of priorities for Black America to address, Black on Black violence wouldn't be in the top 5. That's why people who actively work to disenfranchise us throw it out there as a distraction to undermine our work on other issues.
