Skillz had some bars as usual but it seemed like he had a hard time staying on beat
He doesn’t rap that much anymore, probably hasn't since the last wrap up real talk. Cats get rusty but can still do it due to muscle memory. Quality/sharpness may suffer. It's liken to a boxer having fights after significant long layoffs in-betweenSkillz had some bars as usual but it seemed like he had a hard time staying on beat

02, 05 are some of my favesWhat was the best year wrap up?
Off beat as fukk.
Both the rap ups wack.
He was paying respect to D'Angelo who is also from Richmond. He don't really have any beats to rap over to.Young Skillz, when he was mad skillz, used to rip shyt...from where? Is still a dope album to meSkillz needs to rap more than once a year, so he can sound better and more on beat, on these.
This dude was an underground phenom when I was a kid. It's kinda sad that this is what people know him for now.

But he made more bank being a ghostwriter unfortunatelyFacts!
From Where??? is a personal classic, for me.
I still listen to his old freestyles with Lonnie B, from '95-'96. Skillz was really that dude. We thought he was gonna have a legendary career. I remember Q-Tip was taking him around to all the underground radio shows and saying he was next. So I'm not into the yearly Rap Up sh*t. He was supposed to be out here dropping classic albums.

He had some joints:
Just realized that's where Preem got that "ain't no fiends coming in between me and my dreams" vocal sample for Jeru's Me or the Papes
Skillz just had a style that was too early 90's. A lot of those guys got left behind when the late 90's kicked in and the more street era started.
How this fool still struggling to flow to a beat after all these years?Skillz had some bars as usual but it seemed like he had a hard time staying on beat
