Madden NFL 13 Demo Arrives August 14th

I just read that whole "Connected Careers" manual and it looks like yet another EA gimmick they create to get kids sucked into and make their parents buy the game

But for it does sound cool on paper. Something like this new real college draft picks though

There was a lot of sh!t games didn't have when we were kids. Thats no reason for them not to be in there now. I could understand if you didn't want some sort of unnecessary camera angle option in the game. But audibles and hot routes? In a football game? You don't want that in there? What next? Remove the tight ends?

You need to remember, some of us coem from playing NCAA and the old Madden way where it was easy to make pre-snap adjustments without having to have multiple menus pop up on the screen.

In NCAA I can move my secondary, dline, and linebackers before the ball is snapped. Right now in Madden I barely can do one before the ball is snapped.

theres an option to turn it off go to menu and press turn off strategy pad

when they first put it in they released a patch a few months later by that time i was so used to the strategy pad i couldnt go back to the old way strategy pad is way faster if u know how to do it

Dude, where does this animosity come from? I'm not hating, I'm reporting what I read in a thread, by a multitude of people. I just said you were a small sample size, which is true.

Believe me Voice Commands in football is old news. NFL Gameday 2004 already did this. I called EA Rep out about it, him saying it was never done before in a football game and he had to cop a plea.

And it wasn't working so great then

The headset commands, for example, don't always register the first time you say them and any unrecognizable request automatically takes you to the quit screen. It would have been a better move to flash a small message on the screen that says, "Command not recognized" or something similar rather than prompt you to leave.

Things i noticed that i liked

The WR fade in the endzone works like in real life

The defense doesn't drop 974467 ints

The cpu wont go at balls if their back is turned

The Oline doesnt pancake your whole dline when rushing 3 or 4

The graphics look better

All in all CANT WAIT

This is bad b/c I don't think you can edit players skin tones in CC.

At least with NCAA you can correct this foolishness.

Connected Careers sounds like a lame rpg ish that looks cool on paper but after a week you will get bored of it and itll be filled with glitches

Seems coo to me,

could be a much needed improvement from the stale franchise mode they have had for years, especially if you experience it with multi-players. IMO if it works right it could be Epic!!

While there are some issues in the demo, I don't see anything that is a gamekiller

Cool vid. This reminds me a lot of NFL Head Coach from EA. If some of those concepts made it into this years Madden, then I'll be interested to check it out. From the demo, IMO, the gameplay and "physics" are still meh.
