There are no "NBA stars" who had a good season and had to go overseas to prove anything. Kap's last season wasn't trash, he only had 4INTs which some QBs throw in one game. The NBA isn't a league where half the teams #1 player is garbage. In the NFL, damn near half the teams have shytty starting QBs

Johnny Manziel is also complete trash and was an alcoholic and coke addict so i dont know why you're comparing him to Kap's situation.

It's gonna be questions when any player is out of the league and he has to know they'd play that card to give them "valid" reason to not sign him.

Do remember that no team has to sign him and it's not a right. You can put up numbers and still get lowballed. He just doesn't have the leverage in this situation.

What did MLK do that you think Kaepernick is unable or unwilling to do? I took plenty of African American history classes so let's have this discussion.

Willing to risk everything including your life for justice and equality is MLK type shyt. He's not as good at organizing as MLK was but the spirit and intent is the same which is my point.

:what: No, no, no, no. Just because you have the same spirit and intent when painting doesn’t make you Picasso or Basquiat. MLK efforts lead directly to three major legislative acts that directly impacted black peoples lives for the better the civil rights act of 64, the voting rights act of 65, and the fair housing act of 68.

To even consider putting him next to mlk is not only insulting but completely downplays what he went through to reach those accomplishments. Kaepernick is on the level of a John Carlos and Tommie Smith but to place him next to MLK that makes me believe you were asleep during those African American history classes.

Bruh..... :whoa:
Anyone marching with Dr.King was MLK status to me. Anyone that was willing to get bit by a dog or hosed in the street by pigs like Bull Conner is MLK status to me. Anyone willing to die for racial equality is MLK status to me. That's just me tho.

If you're willing to die for the cause you have that same respect from me. If you're willing to risk it all then I salute you the same way I do MLK. He was the orchestrator of the goal but without people willing to lay down for the cause with him he would have absolutely no power.

We aren’t talking about civil rights activist in the 60’s here though. Kaep isn’t risking anything with his stance outside of a multi-million dollar salary. Do you honestly believe he is going to be murder walking to his door like medgar Evers was?

Again, receiving death threats over the Internet is not the same thing as klans men attacking your home at night. Having them lined up near your marches with guns, chains, and bats. Constantly hearing about members that follow you being hurt or killed because they are fighting for your cause. Seeing boys and girls beating, hit with hoses, and bit by dogs. Children being blown up in churches. Men being lynched and woman being rapped as a fear tactic. That is what MLK was against.

Name one player physically injured by kneeling? Just one. Kaep has no endgame, movements have goals legit tangible things you can point to that they can solve with a course of actions. If you studied the civil rights movement a game plan was designed to get people to buy in.

Just saying ending sub-systemic racism or equality with no details is not a plan. They explained how and why they were doing what they were doing. What they would accomplish and what it would take. Their eyes were always on a realistic end point so they could give their supporters a victory before saying we got some more work to do.

I don’t see how you can even compare what Kaep has done to anything the civil rights movement did. It is just insulting and shows a lack of understanding of the terror and pain inflicted upon them for fight for the generations that came after them.

I think there are plenty of cacs that would kill Kaepernick if they had the opportunity. They've assaulted brothers in broad daylight at Trump rallies. You're crazy if you don't think one would kill Kap.

yeah, I would be assaulted to if I went to a klan rally. Was mlk going to klan rallies or where they actively coming to him? Again they aren’t the same Kaep is not facing one percent of the things mlk, Ali, or Jackie Robinson had to face.

How would you know? Why do you think the whistleblower in the Ukraine impeachment hearings is afraid for his life?

how would I know? Was Kaep getting attacked physical on the field that was clearly against the rules like Robinson was? Was he driven to destitution and risked being put in jail like Ali was? Did he spend nights in jail like Mlk did? The answer to all those questions is no.

you’re moving the goal posts. The government whistleblower is not equivalent to Kaep. Secondly, whistleblowers have always feared for their lives which is why laws have been on the books for over fifty years to protect them.
