Rest In Power Kobe
I retract this statementThis is nonsense
Steph is better than Isiah. This is a blowout too.
Magic is better than Steph, but it’s not a blowout.
Steph>Magic
You all have to accept it

This. I've never seen a player have this great level of gravity that forces the defense out like Steph. You can just watch any of his games and look at the spacing on the court. Like you said Magic is way more a traditional PG, but I think people don't even realize Steph can get his teammates open without even having the ball, how many players can say that? At the end of the day it comes down to who you prefer.I prefer Steph.
Magic is the more traditional point guard but, Steph achieves the same thing in a different way. Magic had court vision to pass to open teammates. Steph is so deadly from the three that wherever he moves on the court pulls the defense towards him to open up everyone else. Also, Steph is still deadly at 36. I understand Magic got sick but, I'm not gonna make Steph have to apologize for still being an elite player deep into his thirties.
there is always one nikka....Oscar >> both
That's true, but then who is?Steph is a 2 on offense and 1 on defense, if he had an additional 2-3 inches he'd be a 2. Or even perhaps if he played with different players or something like that.
People are so eager to be able to put everything in the same box as we always put it.
It's like when people rank QBs only by passing.
He might be the best player to play the PG-position, but he's not the best PG according to the historical definition of a what a PG is.
It's like people are badly coded algorithms and just can't accept that basketball position aren't always as straight forward as football positions (or like the difference between a batter and pitcher).
That is my argument, we’ve even seen the all-nba remove positions. That's true, but then who is?
Magic, Oscar, Zeke etc all weren't point guards according to the "historical definition".
Or is your argument that, because the definition of positions is myopic and outdated, that players shouldn't be referred to as being the best at a particular position, but just the best player(s), in general?
Can't front I didn't think I'd be saying this after olympics but Chef better than Magic.Magic old asf I respect him but nikkas couldn’t play in the 80s the way they can play now. He also played with Kareem his entire career.
Steph UNLOCKS players and makes them reach the peaks of their careers. KD, Draymond, Klay, etc. After Chef Curry’s 2024 Olympic run it’s hard to deny that he’s the best PG of all time

The lakers went to the finals after Kareem retired
