Lol folks essentially making a decision on this topic off 2 great performances in the Olympics where the US were heavy favorites

Ridiculous, prisoner of the moment society

This thread will be MIA if Warriors miss the playoffs or are 7-10 seed
Nah. A bunch of us were saying this before the Olympics.

Him showing out on the world stage for the first time finally has even his biggest haters acknowledging hes that dude

How could this possibly be a case of "prisoner of the moment"?

Steph is 36 years old.

Prisoner of the moment would apply more to a player who acheived something near the start of their career, or just won their first championship, or just overcome adversity for the first time. Then everyone comes out and tries to rank him over players who have had infinitely more success. What Steph did at 36 is adding to his already extensive resume. At the same age, Magic had only just came back to the NBA after being stuck in that House In Virginia for nearly half a decade.

Folks aren't solely making a decision on what Steph did in the Olympics. They're using it to further his case.

What more would you like Steph to do considering Magic's career was essentially over at this point?

Magic has every right to defend his throne and has just as much stake to that title as Steph, it’s not a blowout in either’s favor and boils down to preference

You can’t just gloss over what Magic Johnson did in 10 seasons like it’s nothing I don’t care how great Steph Curry is and vice versa as great as Magic Johnson was Steph Curry’s impact on the game of basketball and his scoring dominance at his stature is unbelievable and like nothing we’ve ever seen, especially considering he peaked LATE

But I don’t like people acting like there’s an objective answer cause truthfully there ain’t

Look this isnt close, one guy has 5 championships and as a rookie was the best player in the NBA finals, the other guy has played 6 finals and be second best in everyone except one against a young celtics team, curry is an all time great but he is not better than magic, not in passing, rebounding, and controlling the game of basketball. Curry is closer to shaq, kobe, AI, than he is to magic, lebron, kareem or jordan

Steph is a 2 on offense and 1 on defense, if he had an additional 2-3 inches he'd be a 2. Or even perhaps if he played with different players or something like that.
Still a 1 he’d be a better Tyrese Haliburton
