Players should be happy to go a heralded franchise where you have legends in the fold that can give you advice when you need it AND criticize you when you need it too. Not old disgruntled players who did nothing in their day, but actual top 10 legends who have won rings, MVPs and whatnot. Obviously not everyone is built for that.

He doesn't have the vocab or the temperament to deal with players who have noticeably lower basketball IQs than his own. That's most of the league at this point. He's inarticulate and cliche so he can't find the right words to motivate or teach this era of player, all he can do is tell his own stories of greatness.

You don't think he had unfocused distracted teammates in 91? Lakers were supposed to be finished after Portland won the WC championship the year before. Had Magic not been on the squad, they would have folded the tent the next year after having a bad record. Instead they went to Finals.
He doesn't think like a loser, so it's not over until Lakers are eliminated.

A lot of people didn't know the Lakers had the best team the year before in '90 . Magic won MVP and the team reloaded beautifully after Kareem retiring . Phoenix knocked them out of the playoffs and Pat Riley stepped down as coach.

No one thought they would beat Portland in '91. When they did :wow:

Probably his best work next to getting rid of the "Tragic Magic" nickname by finally beating Boston.

Earv like "you know who the fukk am I am" :mjlol:

As he should. LeBron had to learn the hard way. When you put on that purple and gold, whatever you did before don't mean shyt.

I remember Lebron's first press conference and that reporter asking him about being a Laker long term and he had some smug ass answer like "I signed four years so I'm here" and he shrugged his shoulders like the reporter was getting on his nerves.

I was like "This nikka don't know what the fukk he got himself into :heh: "

He figured out how real shyt was when the fans got in front of Staples and had a rally to trade his ass. :mjlol:

He deserves it. Like @Joe Sixpack said, Russ plays basketball like a dumbass. This is the first time in his life someone has pointed it out, and its with the most important franchise in the NBA. He making 44 million a year so whatever. :manny:
He's always played like this.
