Its hard to argue against Kobe or Kareem but I've always felt Magic elevated the game as much as anyone that's ever played it and if anything he's become underrated. He's on that mount Rushmore for sure.

Played PG but could have played 4 other positions. Scored 42 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists in a close out game in the Finals playing center when Kareem went down. That was the year Kareem won league MVP.

it's funny how when people say "Magic lead his team to a title as rookie" it's considered a testament to his greatness. on the other hand, when a team with a rookie in their lineup plays well in the playoffs nowadays, it's "the competition in this era is so weak you got a rookie taking his team to the finals".
