You acting like mahomes aint putting in work on the road the last two games as well
I never said anything about Mahomes, I said ppl nitpick and downplay Brady, constantly. Pat played great at Buffalo and was solid at Baltimore.

Let's remember that Mahomes faced a significant setback on the grandest stage against the Bucs and the legendary Brady brehs.

The narrative surrounding greatness can easily shift with factors like a challenging Super Bowl, injuries, distractions, and more. Rodgers is a great example. Pretty much half the coli brehs proclaimed Godgers is the new GOAT. Look what happened to him.

While we appreciate Mahomes' brilliance, let's avoid getting caught up in the media-driven hype of a new GOAT. Yes, what he has accomplished is nothing short of greatness. However, he hasn't even surpassed Montana yet.

I have a lot of respect for Mahomes; he's incredibly likable, and I've always admired Andy Reid. However, I dislike it when people disrespect Brady. It's reminiscent of how some Bron stans started disrespecting Jordan when LeBron won his second championship. It feels premature, and I had similar reservations back then.

If Mahomes continues to be great for another decade + then we can start having the conversation. AND NO YOUR EYE TEST DON'T COUNT. If you go by the eye test, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen, Rodgers, etc, etc. can seem to be greater than Brady. Brady makes easy throws, take sacks, and doesn't try to thread the needle. Casuals see a guy who is protected by a great oline. They see wide open WRs. they see great playcalling. What they don't see is how Brady manipulates D with his eyes. How Brady changes protection. How he makes oline better by getting rid of the football quick. They don't see the fire that inspires other grown ass men around him.

Nice breakdown by Orlovsky. Casuals can't see this. Brady beat you before the snap.

This is one of the reason why I hate nikkas disrespecting Manning. Manning was also a master at breaking down the D before the snap. Manning's downfall is that he controlled too much of the offense which was too finesse. the timing gets off in cold january when the stakes are highest. it doesn't mean manning isn't great.

I love this segment. You can't beat brady with a pure athleticism.

nice breakdown

Just how brady make things look. I saw Josh Allen trying to thread a needle against similar cover 2 when he didn't have to.

another nice breakdown. Brady knows PRESNAP.

If you don't play the chess, then it's almost guaranteed you lose. Look at how he exploits man to man D.

Casuals can't see this. It's just another pitch and catch to them.

Mahomes's consistent success is a testament to his greatness. Often time his brilliance is post snap with his football instincts. However he's still a student of a game compared to Brady's mastery of NFL defense.

if we consider hypothetical matchups between Mahomes/Reid Chiefs and the Brady/Belichick Patriots year after year, my bet would be on Brady/Belichick overcoming that challenge. It's essential to remember that Mahomes is operating in an era without Brady or Manning. Notably, Brady has the upper hand over Mahomes, having defeated him twice in significant stages like the AFCC and SB. The narrative might be different if Mahomes were playing in the Brady era. He could really be another Rodgers a great talent, who can't get to the biggest dance.

Mahomes got 2 rings. He could very well get his 3rd ring. but he's not even half way there yet. 7 is a tough mountain to climb. Yes, he would need to win 7 for me to put him at the top. Because the ultimate goal is to win. Brady is the greatest winner. If brady didn't have rings, he ain't no GOAT.

you could say brady's 1st ring really didn't count much. but i could also say his 7th ring counts twice as much with a new team, 43 year old, went through brees, rodgers, and mahomes etc.

Give manning andy reid, I'm sure manning wouldve posted better playoff stats.

And don't forget Mahomes also looked horrible in the SB against the GOAT.

I cant have mahomes in top 3 yet. I just cant. It's too premature. Narrative will flip very quick if he loses to the niners.

Remember yall crowned Rodgers too.

I'll crown him if he stays at the top for another 15 years and break every brady's record. Until then leave the GOAT alone.

Rodgers never made it back to a SB. This Mahomes 4th appearance

Alot of yall arent factoring that Brady went and won a ring elsewhere without a HOF head coach.

If Mahomes can win one post-Reid, itll go a long way to closing the gap

He also went to a stacked team offensively and defensively and brought the best tight end ever with him

And Brady ball washers never factor in him and Belicheat having multiple cheating scandals together

After scoring 37 pts the week before and 41 pts the game before that. This is exactly what Im talking about. As if one game makes a SB run. Mahomes literally dropped 31 pts in the second half and Brady.had to go score for score with guys like Chris Hogan and Philip Dorsett being starting WR's. Brady scores 13 in a SB, he got carried. Mahomes scores 9 pts in a SB, he was the best player on the field because of two fancy incompletions. One of them being down 22.
Bro the way people have straight up revised Mahomes' performance in SB55 is so annoying to me...

I wouldn't go as far as to say he was the worst of the Chiefs problems that game.....but he was not good in that Super Bowl. It literally just happened 3 years ago and people act as if he gave this Herculean effort, did everything he was supposed to do, played to his standards, and everybody else just sucked...

This is part of what bothers me about the Mahomes conversation, the blatant rewriting of his career...

Just in this 13-minute highlight package of SB55 I can see 7 bad Mahomes plays. This is for those of you who seem to believe he had some vaunted performance, I don't need to see the highlights, I remember the game, it was just 3 years ago. He was bad in this game...

Now in the larger context of his career, it's one of few bad games. He's proven he's a big time player, but anytime we get this chorus of "he's never had a bad game" (Nick Wright just yesterday said he's only had one bad half in his playoff career), or the talk about how he's the most talented or gifted QB, or that he has no flaws, yall can expect me to remind yall that none of this is true. It's the hyperbole about Mahomes that bothers me, him being an All-Timer doesn't bother me, I love watching him play...

Cats gotta stop the hyperbole on Mahomes career in one breath, then nitpicking another guy to death in the next, even sometimes the greatest ever in Brady, downplaying the shyt out of him...

Brady the most disrespected player, along with Emmitt Smith, in NFL history. If Brady had a game where he dropped 17 and was held scoreless for the entire second half, that would be used as ammunition to say that he is overrated. Ppl still discredit his Tampa run and attribute it to their defense, although they dropped 30 in all 4 playoff games(first time that ever happened). The internet is a cesspool of contradiction. Ppl even discredited Brady for excelling because the era was watered down defensively. When does anyone use that same talking point to detract from Mahomes' greatness?
Breh Brady is widely considered the GOAT. Homey gets credit for a ring in which he threw one TD pass the entire playoffs and missed an entire game. Does he have detractors and even haters? Yes. Is it close to the prevailing narrative? No. Nobody ever parsed the numbers in a Brady W. He never caught shyt for Ls...even ones where he stunk up the joint. Again speaking generally. Its nikkas that have shyt to say about Jordan but we not gonna act like he is widely disrespected or subject to unfair scrutiny in general. Peyton is way more disrespected. 2 rings, 4 SBs with 4 coaches, 3-2 vs Brady in the playoffs and his rep is playoff choker. And even if what you said was true, its silly and unnecessary and poisons discourse....so wouldnt we want that shyt to stop rather than wishing it on the next gen?
