The thing about of all this too is, Maino does have a point. There IS a difference between speaking on a situation and glorifying it. But the reason why nothing changes is because there are rappers who glorify it and we cape for them because the music is hot. You still gotta hold them accountable. It's like seeing a CNN broadcast on something. They tell you straight up what happened without any hoopla (unless it's a black man dying, then you get a lot of it). Rappers like to add a bunch of extra shyt to that because one, it sounds boring to people and two, it'd a harder sell. Only a few rappers are able to make it work without it sounding generic. So most of them just brag about coming from the bottom. It's easier to flex to the world than to let the world know your struggles.

Maino is right about we need to stop glorifying dumb shyt but I don't see why people are singling out Slim Jesus.

Most rappers are fake as fukk and don't do a tenth of the shyt they rap about, Slim Jesus is just upfront about it. It's nothing new.
