What maino said is 100% correct regardless of how you feel about drill music

cornballs & backpack rap fans always had a issue with street music since the 90's anyway thou
Keep it a buck....aren't we gonna be pointing at those same cornballs and backpack rappers to prove certain stereotypes of hiphop is wrong?

It's the same ol "wink wink, don't do what I did, but give me props, respect, and access for criminal exploits" type of rhetoric

at this point, it's clear that most of these nikka can't clearly define what it means to be "real" and then consistently apply that same definition to different rappers and different situations. That's why there are so many of us fence sitting on these type of topics, but then we calling for "change"

exactly. .and it's because they have a Warped sense of what is REAL.....

for decades going back to his Smack DVD years.....

his perspective of REAL was limited to Snatching Chains...Kidnapping Dope Boys and smacking rappers on those same BK streets like Nostrand ave. where my pops and my uncle were trying to live REGULAR REAL LIVES going to work. .raising their kids admist the savage fukkery PROMOTED by guys like MAINO..SHEA DAVIS and other BK ENTERTAINERS

BEING REAL shouldn't be limited to just criminal activities. .....

actually the realest cats, right now on this black Friday our those working RETAIL,dealing with shopping savages and horrible pay

MAINO "speech" gets zero fukks from me

shyt I don't give a fukk if he really live that life....if anything MAINO is more accountable than Slim Jesus whom we know is a marketing scheme right out his own mouth he admitted it

MAINO was fortunate to land a deal after doing time in prison.....

he is the real lame cause he really didn't speak against that past LIFESTYLE. ...

he wore it like a badge of honor

:camby: ain't nobody
trying to hear it,from HIM

cause by DEFAULT all rappers talking this gangsta shyt is FAKE......

if you approve this fukkery you contributing to the death of real rap dudes who really lived that life.

No one listens to Slim Jesus though. People saw it for what it was, parody. More people listen to or are influenced by the people who are actually out there killing people and robbing people.

Real talk is admitting that "proving" something about hiphop to cacs, concerned parents, media types, and black folks DOES MEAN something towards album sales, endorsements deals, and community imporvement

It's not about glorifying killing but telling people this is what's happening around me. These kids really grow up around all their friends dying. That's what they gonna rap about

Not really. When these rappers add extra to it, when they try to be cool on the record, it is glorifying it. When they make it seem like shooting people and selling crack in the hood is what 'real ones' do, it is glorifying it.

News reporters just tell it how it is when reporting from a crime scene. Rappers don't really because in order to 'tell it how it is' you have to use facts. Rappers and facts don't go together like 2 dikks and no bytch, fukk around and end up in some serious shyt.

So when is that Maino gospel album coming out brehs?
