I'm in my junior year of a Computer Engineering degree and I have had that look in multiple classes.

Mutha fukking Physics I and II. :damn:

:francis:They told me that shyt would just be inputting numbers into formulas. They lied.

My only C's:snoop:

Ordinary Differential Equations had me:ld:
Cal III:to:

I still have to take Linear Algebra and Discrete Mathematics :skip:

:blessed: I'm done with sciences though.

Man, listen man.

Dif Eq was a cakewalk (surprisingly).

Straight A through that bullshyt after struggling through Calc 2.

Linear Algebra and Discrete math... :francis:.... I'm not gonna lie breh you gonna have to go hyperbolic time chamber for those shyts.

But it'll be worth it. Belee dat.

Even after I graduated I used to have nightmares that I got a call and found out I was a few credits short and had to go back.

This is real..for like 3 years after I was done with my MBA I would have these nightmares and wake up in a panic thinking I got a paper or program to do and the deadline for it was today. It would take me a min for me to get my mind right...usually by going in my living room and taking a look at the degrees on top of my bookcase and touching them lol.

DoD is a government job...federal employee. Govt DoD contractors (Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, etc) are private industry.

DoD is more stable, better benefits, less pay.
Contractors is less stable, more pay.

Trust I know the difference and have worked in the field. Professionals in the field usually call the Lockheeds, northrops, L-3s etc of the world........DoD or defense.

Breh if you know that Fortran shyt......:banderas:.

DoD brehs be eating like a mug in that shyt....:banderas:

they still using that shyt???? LMAO maaan I know the later versions of FORTRAN became object oriented, but I thought folks were moving to other languages. My prof worked for Raytheon on a NASA contract, so I guess it makes sense.

Yuuup. Go look at the gigs in huntsville Alabama and you will see jobs asking for a background in Fortran.

Same here. I still have nightmares that I am a credit short of graduating from grad school.

Naw he works for a defense contractor as a design engineer.

When I say DoD I am referring to defense contractors.

As for government gigs I meet 2 folks with physic degrees that work for the department of energy.

I don't work for the DoD or any other company, I decided to go into finance. More money, more lucrative at least for my goals.

I'd say Physics is the best STEM degree but I am biased.

If people are considering such a degree and are Black there are scholarships just for you but you should maintain a cgpa above 3.0, and an mgpa above 3.0 as well. I'd also suggest applying to some REUs as well but they are very competitive.

In order to make yourself viable for one I'd suggest a gpa near 4.0 and prior research in physics or stem related research. I had a lot of math research under my belt.

You will have a lot of offers after college in just about any field whether it be computer science, engineering, or finance.

I had a few computer science courses but not a minor so you should also aim for a minor in compsci.. If you can.

A lot of my upper division physics courses utilized computer programming (c, matlab, and labview) so I had a lot of computer programming under my belt.
