Ironically the major classes were easy for me, it was alot of the unrelated courses they make you take your freshmen and sophmore yrs that annoyed me. They werent hard I just didnt see the value in some of them.
I like some of the electives as they’re a way to find out some stuff you wouldn’t know. Like this semester I’m taking a course on literature of African Diaspora and am getting some a lot of good books as a result.

Call me crazy, but I can't wait to tackle Computer Engineering when I go back to school.

I don't care how dense the information is, if you're using effective study techniques and have a firm grasp of the the fundamental concepts, you can and should learn anything. Learn the basics and constantly test your understanding of the material. If your interpretation lines up with reality, then you get it.

Other than that, don't cram, space out your study sessions at regular intervals and mix in multiple subjects to keep your attention and focus high rather than studying one subject at a time all the time (like saying, "first I'll finish my psych book, then I'll finish my chem book...").

I read "Making it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning" and I've been testing out the methods outlined in the book on other books (like "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living", for example).

Turns out, like many people in our school system, I had gone about learning and studying in a bad way.

Did chemical engineering and that was me throughout. :mjlol:

Annoying thing was everyone else seem like they understand shyt easily and you’re out there feeling like the biggest idiot in the world. :francis:

I know that shyt breh. Someone will raise their hand to constantly ask questions as if they actually have a somewhat understanding of what the professor is talking about.

When much of the time, that person is just doing that to get the professor to remember his/her name for them lab research positions and recommendation letters in the future :mjlol:

The most c00nish, insulting bullshyt thread I've seen on here in weeks. :scust:

Just stick to rapping' and dancing' huh? You want to get good you put the work in, not just in college but in high school where they're teaching you the fundamentals for college classes.

So I'm an associate teacher, and I'm considering completing an education degree.

Some of the ladies I work with keep saying don't do it and I need to look into something else.

If I do, it'll be a stem major. If I don't do education, I'll do chemistry, environmental science, biotechnology, or biochem.

What do you STEM brehs recommend?

Trust me breh. I’m one of those dudes who does t hold his tongue and if I feel the teacher isn’t explaining something thoroughly or I feel lost I’ll speak loud and clear when asking a direct question about the material.

Just because others are acting like they know the material or not speaking up, doesnt mean they understood. When I started doing the above, it was without fail you’ll see a few people who are quiet as a mouse shaking their head in agreement about being equally lost and also people feel more free to ask questions afterwards because they feel like they aren’t the only “idiot” in the class anymore.

Most people are just afraid of asking questions because they’re afraid of looking stupid and they assume everyone else knows the material when everyone is equally lost.

So you probably weren’t a lone and was one of many.
