DJ's now a days are just as much as promoters as they are DJ's or even more so because most these DJ's just hit play and wave their hands in the air or throw cake at people.

Its no different then when 1 established promoter throws a party some where, 500 people show up automatically cause he's built that brand that those are the parties to be at.

because they bring in more revenue than the artist.. IN VEGAS.

This club here in SF paid $30k for a up and coming Vegas DJ. They sold 600 tickets for probably $80-$100 before the event started. Thats not counting what they did at the door for general admission + bar / bottle service.. Venue holds 1500 people. They probably tripled their money on that $30k investment.

My next big party I have $6k invested so far im hoping to hit a home run and come home with $12-15k , itll be my biggest come up for a party yet, but of course ill be happy even making $1k

its high risk/high reward business.. ive lost $1200 in a night before swinging for the fences

who is asking for their acceptance? this is about earning money. there is no black infrastructure to support black DJs just like there's no black infrastructure to support black actors and actresses.

Had a racist experience in Vegas. Me and about 15 other black people male and female were trying to get into a Vegas club. They blatantly refused/ignored us to let us in. Cac after let in before us, Cacs just walking up and getting in, finally I was like fukk it I don't give my money to places that don't want it.

Even one of the black door guys peeped us to what was going on because some of the other cats were trying to ask him what's going on. Too many blacks in their eyes these clubs don't want a majority black club. We were all dressed appropriately and all 22-23 year old pharmacy schools students in Vegas for a pharmacy conference.

Made me think twice about giving my money away to these racist cac clubs that like to play black music and be culture vultures but can't let young black kids into a fukking club.
