Countless nikkas have had their doors kicked it and been kidnapped, beat, and murdered over drugs and money for much less value.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2015) — A man’s Facebook post may have led to his death.

Last week, 50-year-old Tony Harris posted a photo of his wife holding a wad of money with a caption saying, “I misplaced $60,000. I hope my wife didn’t go shopping with it.”



On Monday night—a week after Harris posted the photo—three men entered his home and demanded that he hand over the money.

During the ensuing confrontation, one of the intruders shot Harris in the head. He died at an area hospital Tuesday.

His nephew told the Philadelphia Inquirer the Facebook post was a joke—simply stacks of $1 bills with $20 bills on the top to make it look like a much larger stash than it actually was.

His family believes someone saw the post online and targeted Harris. Homicide Capt. James Clark said it’s possible the photo led to the attack, although he said the investigation is in its early stages.
