I haven’t DL’d from YouTube in years but I remember the sound quality not being very good

I'm not a huge audiophile so I don't know how accurate it is but I have a program that downloads it at 320. As long it don't sound tinny I'm good

I keep a USB of my music collection. It’s over 3500 songs. I still manually sync music using iTunes. Streaming never appealed to me because you don’t control what’s on your phone and they can delete music anytime. Not to mention some songs will never be on streaming because of samples and it’s not a official release.

Streaming is one of the causes of people being too lazy.

Been telling people this for years.

Cats "renting" music on these streaming services when the label can alter or remove shyt with zero notice, and you have no recourse.

I'm good on that.

Fred.
Yeah I’ve been going back and replacing a lot of my streaming albums with local files for a while now. I don’t like all the song removals and swaps and edits

To be honest I wish they would edit a lot of them old ass tracks when rappers used to have skits the beginning. Or long ass intros. Biggie's sky's the limit comes to mind. If you trying to run a playlist and vibe you just want the music to keep flowing. Might not be a bad idea for artists to release remastered versions that trims the baggage. The older versions will still be there.

I feel just like Al. Still have my vinyl collection as well.

Same! Everyone needs to keep their music.

I see people selling vinyl collections all the time. Mad jazz records. And I think they're crazy, lol. Some people just want to get rid of sh*t. I'll never be able to do that.

i used to feel this way...and i still got a buncha shyt on an SD card...but now wit so much music coming out...I don't give a fukk anymore. I guess if I was one of them nikkas that dont listen to the new shyt i would...but I'm so openminded with music that I listen to pretty much all the new hip hop that comes out. Its hard enough listening to everything...to download it and put it in a playlist is a pain in the ass to do that. I eventually came to the conclusion that i was hoarding music for no reason. But 20-30 years from now, that shyt will become rarer and rarer and you'll probably be able to capitalize off it. You see it wit Youtube channels...the nikkas who got old ass clips from 106 and park. So save that shyt...all you nikkas. I might wanna listen to some of it someday.

You see it on eBay now.

People are back to buying physical media. We're seeing records that used to go for a couple bucks 10 years ago, selling for $100 today. It's definitely coming back. Which is dope. I think it's good to just hold on to whatever you can, and just put it on ice, if you're not going to listen to it daily.

Subbing culture is not for me. Streaming is convenient but I will always own shyt I like music, movies, games. Don't trust these businesses

It's fukking ridiculous.

Mercedes nowadays gives you a bare skeleton of a car so you're forced to subscribe for heated seats, navigation and other features.

I never even cared for streaming since its launch..I have never streamed anything and wouldn't know how to.
The apps even come pre-installed in phones but I not once clicked.
My belief is that streaming is a large corporation service so there'd be mainstream music only. The Dancehall and House I'm desperately after I know isn't there.. :mjlol:

Is there sound clash from 86 or 98 on streaming sites, do those corporate cac execs even know what that is :childplease:

I has about 250 cds from a kid to around the time I was 22. I stopped buying cds so I copied all the songs to mp3 and put it on a hard drive, then sold all my cds for like 80 dollars lol. Now the hard drive is corrupted but I'm OK with that after the initial loss, Spotify got my money now but it's the easiest to use in the car. It is what it is, I don't really miss what I can't remember and any other songs I loved i got saved on YouTube for now.
