I've been telling people this for years.

Streaming is cool, but I still prefer having my millions of mp3's on my phone with the artwork, and all the stuff I digitized from old CD's and cassettes, and even vinyl. You can't even find everything on streaming, and I'm too shook to rely on that as my source for music. I spent forever building my own library before streaming was a thing. So I've kinda just stuck with that. Keep your external HD's full of music and just roll with them on your phone.

I have to own the mp3 and the physical. I still got CD players at the home in the car I have an mp3 player.

Streaming is like renting throwing money down the drain. It is about ownership! If no internet connection for the day because of whatever reason then you'll have no music unlike the mp3 and CD users.

I didn't see anyone post it in here but having your own library and the Plex server paired with Plexamp app pretty much creates your own streaming service.

I like the convenience of streaming and I like it for finding new music but shyt disappears all the time with no warning on streaming and gradually a lot of golden era acts are re-recording tracks and swapping them out.

I got apple music, but the shyt has my entire itunes library streaming. My pc died a few months ago and I haven't bought a new one. My library spread across 2 hdds. I got some of my library on an external, but I ain't updated since like 2018. Then I got prolly like 97% on my iPod. Tryna decide if I wanna buy I new pc though. I was still heavy into downloading shyt before it died, especially leaks.
