Maybe it's because you're a little older than the generation that really jumped for contouring, but there are a lot of women who wear heavily blended makeup every single day or at least 5 days of the week.
It's terrifying.
I hung around one girl for almost 3 years before I finally saw her without makeup, and at that point I had gotten so used to it (literally the same makeup, same application, everyday) that it was a shock to see her without it. I hang around women who don't wear makeup more than once or twice a month now (other than eyeliner), but there are many, many women who go full out every single day.
It does feel a little dishonest, as a guy I have to accept my physical flaws, and can't constantly hide them.

You're also naturally pretty, and that adds to it.
I just worry that the over-reliance on makeup places incredibly unfair beauty standards on young girls and women. When they find the don't naturally have that glow or face-shape created by contouring, it ends up being a bit self-destructive. Look at Nigerian women and girls who lighten their skin because of what they see around them, even with naturally darker, beautiful skin.
I can understand trying to cover severe acne, scars, and burns, but this societal obsession distorts.
