Yes, I'll contribute to the online marketing threads. Though I've noticed the threads here focus on a lot of grey hat areas which from my experience doesn't end well

What would you recommend? Black hat the way to go? any advice would be helpful

No. I recommend aiming to build online businesses that can withstand the constant winds of change online. If you're doing FBA, try and build a brand off it and somehow get off Amazon's teat etc.

Also for guys in the States, you have Silicon Valley and New York. If you're in tech, your first priority should be trying to build a prototype and penetrate the investor circles there. Just last week a black brehette got 6.5 million dollars funding for a fukking blog(Blavity)

Blavity raises $6.5 million Series A round led by GV

There is no doubt in my mind that Silicon Valley/New York tech is the biggest opportunity of our generation and the tap is still wide open as you've seen with my example

I'm from a country in Africa and I've managed to make a six figure income from my online business. I own a pretty large and well known website with millions of visitors from all over the world. I make money through advertising. Things have been good for the last 4 years and still growing. Should hit mid 6 figures this year. Been wondering about whether I should move or stay in this place.

On the downside, we have a lot of systemic problems with corruption, poverty and tribalism and they're not being solved any time soon. Plus once you pass a certain level of income in these parts, EVERYBODY got their hand out. On the plus side, I live like a fukking king out here. Mansions rent from about $1200 a month round here, I have two staff working in the house and I can bribe my way out of anything if I ever get into trouble in future.

Given the extensive list of pros and cons, was wondering about moving out of this place, since I have location freedom with my online business. What would you guys advise? PS I am single, childless and 28 years old.

At the end of the day you have to do what you feel comfortable with...

What makes you happiest??

you stay you get tribalism, you leave you get racism .... you stay everyone get their hand out cause you rich , you leave you dont even get the opportunity to be rich ......

Theres pros and cons in Everything ..... basically comes down to where you the most happy/comfortable

My heart is in Nigeria , but I also like peace and quiet and not being bothered which is why I still have a place in London

I feel I have the best of both worlds because I live in two places , same time zone, and only a 6 and a half hour flight difference ......less than $1000 for a direct flight

I still spend half of my time London even though my business is in Nigeria....... but that is because in london I can be literally a nobody .... in Nigeria people know my family as the first born Im expected to play a certain role, i have to be careful who i associate with , life is hectic, I help out a lot of people
financially but to be honest my parents been doing that most of their lives ..... it is what it is , if you are wealthy or employ people it comes with a certain level of responsibility ......... My ego has never flown in a direction where I want my name to ring out or to be known as "the big man" because I have seen firsthand my whole life the bullshyt that comes with it

theres a big part of me that likes peace and quiet , theres a big part of me that hates the phone ringing every 5 minutes and 50 emails a day or having a bunch of meetings , or having a long list of people that I have to find time to see, my brother has it even worse

USA or UK are top of the list. But to be honest I've never traveled out of my home country, so I don't have an objective view yet.

If US, I'd suggest NYC, ATL, DC or Houston. Big Nigerian population in each place so you'd still have a Nigerian network.

London is also a no-brainer but I think the US gives you more variety.

Congratulations. Several countries/states and business development opportunities come to mind. Silicon Valley(Palo Alto, San Jose, Cupertino), Dubai, Atlanta, JoBurg, Houston, DC, London, etc The ability to split time between one country and another has its benefits. Especially maintaining dual or several citizenships. Moving to a new area also depends on what do you want to do now and in the future.

So where do you see yourself in the next 5 10 30 years? Do you want to expand the business? Are you planning on selling the business at some point? If you do, some might pay 10x to 100x. Do you want to go public or ICO or expand? If you sell and retire, you can save, invest and move to place where Black expat and future family are treated well and start another business with corporate shelter benefits.

Do you want to travel cross country in a RV with internet and protective security team across Africa/America/UK? You can visit states and countries and run your business via securified web email etc.

Do you want to meet a women, marry and start a family and pass the business down or equity or shares?

There are options.

So where do you see yourself in the next 5, 10, 30, 50 years? Couple years is fine.

Where do you think your next move could be?

The two big motivations would be:

1. To go to a developed country to start a family. I feel like as much as I hit the jackpot here, my descendants might not be so lucky. If you're anything below the top 1% here you'll live a rather undignified life, whereas in places like US or UK my impression is that even average people can live pretty well. Note that I don't currently have kids, it's just something I think about.

2. I'd like to shoot my shot in some of these foreign business markets. I see things happening in the startup community in US and Europe and can't help but think that given my previous success I could probably pull something off in Silicon Valley or London if I play my cards right

Places where you can thrive and be around people who appreciate and work well with you and potential spouse and family, is extremely important. An area where there is startup community. Silicon Valley has it perks. If you want a traditional wife then you need to keep both countries open and mingle across the States and abroad to find it.

This is not a question anyone else can answer. You have to figure it out for yourself. Personally. I'd stay. It dosent get any better. Id stay there but travel the world until age 33 then settle down and have a family.
