He could drop about 15k on Niners ML now going at -130 (BetMGM) which will pay him around $26, 538. If Rams end up winning then he'll go home with a 59k in profit (minus the 15K).
I'm guessing judging by the size of the initial bet this guy doesn't have enough bread liquid to properly hedge the bet. Turning $10 into 20 racks guaranteed is a lick IMO - bird in the hand

I have the Rams ml on the last leg of my 4 teamer
9 times out of 10 I'm cashing out early on big parlays
These games are too unpredictable I dont want to fight the urge of jumping off a bridge
Is not worth the anxiety, and hedging doesn't make any sense in this situation.

Cashing out is big lost.
If could could find 40k to place on the Niners to win at the current rate of -125.
He would leave with 32k if the Niners win and 34k if the Rams win. That's a big difference with the 23k they are offering him.
