Yeah, the casinos can be brutal. You know that the odds aren't in your favor, but still sucks when you get smoked. I have maybe played a slot machine two or three times in my life, but only small amounts. It blows my mind that people play those.
If I have a weakness, it's definitely blackjack and sometimes roulette. At least with roulette, you know there's nothing you can do besides choose your numbers/color/etc., and it's over quick. With blackjack, it's incredibly easy to want to go full tilt when you lose some brutal hands. When I was playing today, I got split aces three different times. Not one damn time did I get a face card on the next card. Nothing is more frustrating to me than that.
When I play now, I'll deposit what I'm willing to lose, but I go full steam ahead. Sitting there and dying by a thousand cuts is painful. The longer you play and the more hands you play, the more likely you'll end up losing. I'll go full press with my wagers and if I lose quickly, it sucks, but I know that if I wagered low amounts for a longer period of time that I'd eventually hit a bad stretch and end up with the same losing result. At least if I go full steam ahead, I gave the chance of building up some quick winnings. Once I get up a big, I end up withdrawing at least my deposit amount. However, that doesn't end up really making a difference because if I lose the rest, I end up just re-depositing.
