I find it hilarious that only females are referred to as goldiggers. I've met countless men who have told me they see me as the future breadwinner of the household, and would prefer to stay at home and become househusbands. I quickly hit them with this face:



and tell them that I have no intention of supporting their bum lifestyle. Truth be told, I'm the type of woman who will give a man I find appeasing a chance, regardless of his financial status, debt, or level of academic achievement; if I see potential in him. Usually, there's no issue with this and guys are pleased to know that I don't look at the car they drive, or the clothes they wear, in order to decide whether or not they're worth dating. But recently I've witnessed an influx of men who try to use me as their meal ticket and future pension plan.



When they hear of my ambitious goals and realize that I'm career-orientated, they tell me to go out there and work for 'us', while they stay at home to take care of all the menial tasks.



In 2013, Goldigging has NO gender, and male goldiggers are on the rise.

They can, but some women don't want to be the bread winners especially for someone who stays at home and plays video games all day. I don't think she mentioned stay at home parents or kids in that scenario, just someone who wants the other to work while they do nothing. My brothers ex was like this and it drove me crazy. He works at the time and his ex did nothing and she was able bodied. He would have had a better life if she contributed even a little. I personally don't have any problem earning more but id rather be a partner financially because I don't want him to be a work horse. That way we can both have energy to enjoy one another.

Isn't that a good thing? That certain men are willing to put their career and ego on the side to care for the children and you?

IMO this new age ambitious independent women movement kind of fukked up the family structure. Don't get me wrong: I have no problem with women working jobs that were previously exclusive to men, and a lot of them are actually better than men at it, but IMO it wasn't meant for both parents to be out of the household consistently. Kids were not meant to be raised by a nanny or something. I'm also an ambitious dude so the kind of future wife I'm looking for is one that is willing to be a stay-at-home mom.

And besides the children, if you both work a lot of hours, it also affects yall relationship. Its harder to make time for each other and when u both come home from work tired and shyt yall dont rly wanna hear each others shyt, whereas if one stayed home thered be a meal ready for you, an ear ready to listen, and hands ready to massage.
