i try to stay out of the whole vaccine debate at this point, but when i see stories like this i can't help but ask what the logic is.

Yep, imagine a perfectly resaonable healthy person(outside of their heart) dies because they gave the heart to him instead. Only for him to die a week later because he doesn't take of the new heart properly.

There's a list of people waiting to get transplants. They can't give you a heart when you can end up dead a week later. Another patient who is vaccinated can get that heart and live decades. There's nothing unfair about this. I'm sure the person who got moved up in his place and their family will appreciate his sacrifice. They should present him with his Darwin Award at his funeral
