Heir hunters are investigating a 'legitimate' claim against Prince's $300million estate by a man who says he's the singer's secret love-child, Daily Mail Online can reveal.

Investigators at Heir Hunters International - which specializes in genealogical research and finding heirs across the globe - have been contacted by the man who appears to have a genuine back story and claim on the singer's vast estate.

The 'love-child', a man in his 30s and from Prince's home state of Minnesota, is believed to be the product of a fling the Purple Rain singer had with an as yet unknown woman in the mid-80s.

This comes as the singer's sister Tyka Nelson filed paperwork Tuesday in a Minneapolis court saying Prince has no known will and requesting to be appointed executor of his estate.

The Heir Hunters International team is now working around the clock on the genealogy of the alleged 'love-child' to establish a firm connection with Prince.

Once the investigators are happy that the heir is genuine on paper they can demand a DNA test and submit a legal claim against Prince's estate.

John Hilbert, partner in Heir Hunters International based in Los Angeles, also told Daily Mail Online of a SECOND potential heir who has come forward with another seemingly 'legitimate' claim.

This individual claims to be offspring of Prince's father, John Nelson.

Mr Nelson, better known as jazz musician Prince Rogers, died on August 25, 2001, aged 85.

Any sibling - full or half - of Prince stands to inherit millions of dollars under Minnesota law - providing no child of the star is found - and all 'legitimate' claims will be thoroughly investigated.

Mr Hilbert said the firm's phones have been red hot since the 57-year-old superstar died at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis a week ago.

'We have received hundreds of calls, emails and letters from people claiming to be either a child of Prince's or offspring of Prince's father,' he explained.

'Obviously they all can't be genuine claims, but we have established that at least two seem to be legitimate and will need further investigation.

'One person claims to be Prince's child and another claims to be offspring of Prince's father.

'If there is a child, if Prince had one single child, that child will take all the inheritance.

'We think that more likely than not these claims are genuine, but both need further investigation.

'If necessary we will retain local legal counsel in Minnesota and see whether or not it's worthy of filing a claim (on Prince's estate) on behalf of the heir.'

Prince's sister Tyka Nelson filed paperwork Tuesday at Carver County District Court saying the star has no known will.

'I do not know of the existence of a will and have no reason to believe that the decedent executed testamentary documents in any form,' Nelson said in the paperwork.

DNA test shouldn't be too hard to confirm. it seems far more plausible that prince has a lovechild than the claims that MJ had one. :dame:
