I have 4 older cousins that played ball in college, two that went on to play overseas, my big brother was a Rivals 4-Star recruit; I've been around sports long enough to know that I enjoy hooping, but I wasn't going to the league and wasn't passionate enough to give my life away for a "free" education at a school I didn't want to go to.
nikka think that college basketball is the same as going to the rec and playing some pickup games, you really have to LOVE that shyt to play in college, because whatever school you go to, major or petty the coaches are going to own your soul.
It's it's basically a strenuous 9-5, but the hours are more like 9 to 9, working 6 days a week with occasional weekends off.

At 6'3, I can't even bend over to tie my laces without catching a breeze on my back. I don't know how the hell you do it at 6'7.

This, college hoops sucked for the most part. shyt was far harder than any classes. We had over 13 defensive variances and over 120 offensive plays. That shyt wasn't easy to remember and on top of that, play at a very high level.Got a few D-3 and JUCO offers, said fukk it.

Sports are all toolsy. For Baseball, I had five tools. I could have been elite but wasn't passion about it, this isn't Football, you can't get away in Baseball with just tools.
For Basketball, I had speed, vertical, and court vision, but lack first step, explosiveness, defense, lateral quickness, handles, small hands, the game was too fast when I played then even though it's slow to me now. I was a below average level prospect regardless if I worked twice as hard as everyone else which I did at every level I played.
For Football, I had at all but strength. I was pretty good when I played just off natural tools alone. I was tough, I could win jump balls, I could track the ball down before my defender could react, good agility after the catch, and smart. Due to being raw and nothing caring, I would have been a FCS/D2 prospect.
This is at 6'4 185 at that time. So it tells you it's not easy as you think. Sports is extremely competitive and to be great, it takes more than natural ability, it takes coaching, and right fit, opportunities, being smart about things, and work ethic.
Out of the main three sports, I only had elite potential one of them. The other, I could have been a decent college player. The other which was my passion, I did and was an average low level player who had some talent especially 1v1 but wasn't much 5v5.
