BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are searching for a man accused of shooting another man in the buttocks while he was "running for his life" in August.
According to police, on August 28, 2015 in the 4000 block of Dalton St, the victim was involved in an argument with a neighbor, Brittany Augillard. During the argument, Augillard pulled out two handguns.
Police reports state the victim and Augillard struggled over one of the guns, the other fell to the ground. During the struggle the victim was shot in the penis by Augillard.
The victim explained to police while "running for his life," Clifton Dewayne dikkerson, Augillard's husband, picked up the dropped gun and shot the victim in the buttocks.
Augillard was arrested at the scene on the day of the shooting and charged with attempted second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. She is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $60,000 bond.
dikkerson remains at large. He is wanted for attempted second degree murder and illegal discharge of a weapon.
dikkerson, according to police, is listed in the Repeat Offender Prosecution and Enhancement (ROPES) program. To be in the program, an offender must have six arrests for felony crimes or at least two felony convictions in their history.
