I think the murder case was the biggest component of the drop off, had to be an exhausting energy draining ordeal... Dre leaving was huge, as Dre is a perfectionist and wouldn't have allowed Doggfather level efforts... 'Pac's death was a factor too, the East/West ish, and the overall exhaustion of the happenings at Death Row too.

This right here.

Dude was done after that.

I donkt think Pacs death did much seeing as most songs were already done by then.

The other shyt i agree with.

Plus D.O.C not being around had to be another thing. Snoops lazy laid back flow sounded off to me

Word. I wondered if anything else happened beside the murder case that made him fall so quickly?

I get that Pac came and alot of the focus was on him, Dre leaving etc but even Snoops flow, which was 1 of his strenghts, fell off on Doggfather

U wonder if anything else happened? Bruh he was caught up in the biggest rap beef ever! When the smoke cleared it was exposed that he was getting finessed by Suge on the finance side. On top of that Death Row being dismantled. He had to recalibrate his entire career wit No Limit.

By the time he caught a full second wind rap was in new era.

yup

he was my favorite rapper back then and basically got me into hip hop:wow:

Yessir

I can totally understand why

Snoop had the voice, the flow, the rhymes and albums (The Chronic, Doggystyle and then the Murder Was The Case sdtrk)

Everything Snoop was on during that time was golden

Peak Snoop was unreal.

No rapper has peaked on the level of Snoop circa The Chronic and Doggystyle

He had the perfect sauce. The hood bytches wanted to fukk him, white bytches wanted to experiment and fukk gangbangers, hood nikkas emulated him, and nerd white boys were mesmerized by his lingo.

If we're being honest Snoop Doggy Dogg is who you'd build your franchise around if rapping was a league lol. All around attributes from charisma, charm, lingo, flow, and aesthitic. Nikka hit the scene and changed shyt up like Bron and Wemby

92-96 (pre-doggfather) snoop was too dope. He couldn't miss in that era, everything he was a part of was dope

Come on y'all this shyt is just perfection!
