Watchdogs was a launch title that got delayed because of GTA5 and a couple non important improvements and was re-release as a summer title so it would be big numbers due to the lack of games this year in general. The game is still basic

Yea these dudes have to be teenagers. Lets be real. We are getting more AAA titles during this gen then previous ones. When have we got games like watch dogs, battlefield, etc within six months of a console's life? People just like cry all day
I think the problem is people gassed up these initial titles and got all stancrazy.
I never did that move, because I knew, as ALWAYS, the early games in the generation are usually mehhh.
I bought the system cause I wanted the new shyt, plain and simple. I didn't fool myself into thinking it was gonna have AAA must have titles out the jump.
Just be honest with yourselves and stop stanning everything and you`ll appreciate it more.

People forget that Sega had no choice but to drop heat day one cause Sega had lost a lot of goodwill and consumers/developers/retail stores still felt burned over the Saturn
Who has that picture of the PS2 launch games? Out of that entire launch, how many of those games were actually worth playing?
People need to chill. This gen will have the heat soon enough.
5 year console cycles do need to come back tho. That way these systems can keep up with the changes in technology

Out of all of those, I see 5 games worth playing (DOA2, Midnight Club, Timesplitters, Tekken Tag, and Unreal Tournament.) and even then DOA2 and Unreal Tournament are debatable if you already had UT99 on PC or the better console version on Dreamcast (which I believe had mouse:kb support and online w SegaNet) and DOA2 was already on Dreamcast so it made no sense to double dip

It's going to take me at least a month to beat all of Watch Dogs. I've just been fukking with side missions...haven't done a VR trip or tried online. It's a big ass game.
They weren't rushed. Last generation was the longest cycle ever.played watch dogs today on the PS4 at my boy's house, it's kinda wack

That's how bad it is, because there's no real good games coming anytime soon.
I'm keeping somewhat up to date on both console games this year and there's not much to look out for.
This entire Playstation vs. Xbox One became bad for the consumer because they both ended up rushing it just so they could be one week difference of release dates.
Meanwhile they could have taken longer and let developers play with the code longer.
But even that is messed up, because game developers/publishers wouldn't even let gamers spend a lot of time playing with the code for a long while, even they need a release date to recoup their investment as soon as possible.
It's a messed up industry and the people need to complain more so these fukcers understand!!!!
I don't know about how much you know but the Metal Gears and Final Fantasies of they world. The games with astronomical AAA budgets as a publisher they don't want to release those games on the small install bases of newly launched consoles. You just won't get the level of software you want until the install bases grow so these games can recoup their budgets. When that Batman game comes out these consoles will likely have a combined 20-25 million sold between them.
This problem will always exist in a hardware centric gaming model. The consoles have to sell enough to justify making good games for them. As more people buy and the prices of them fall they get better games.

These consoles were not rushed. The 360 was out since 2005 and the ps3 arrived a year later. We ate good for that amount of time. The problem is that not that many people were going to switch over to a new console considering that most are young kids. I myself had no problem spending $500+ for my X1 and next week I buy the ps4.
This current gen is only for grown folks

This gen was not rushed, it's just that last gen went on 2 years longer than it should have. Last gen should have ended in 2011 and PS4 and XO should have been out but Sony and Microsoft wanted to milk the PS3 and 360 for as long as they could.
Then you gotta factor in all of the development studio's that went under in the course of seven years and you have next to no mid tier games to hold it down till the big releases come out., which lead to longer droughts between games.
