Can some of the hate be because Superman is a religious/Christ like figure? And all the similarities? I mean the trailers really pushed it (you'll be a god to them. Sent to save the planet. His eartly father not being his real father). Not saying it is but just throwing it out as a possibilty/conspiracy theory.

..that's just how it is for Movies based on Comics. I know it better than anybody, it just depends on if you'll Tolerate it and to how far. Evrerybody had this Movie hyped on how Epic it's going to be..Epic Epic Epic. I personally just wanted a Good Origin Story for this Superman and I believe that if you watch it then you get it. If you Follow it then you'll Understand it and if you like Superman then you'll Like this Movie. Me personally? I'm not the Biggest Fan of Superman and I liked this Movie for Numerous Reason. 1 of them being that, the Universe that Snyder created here in MAN OF STEEL...I could definitely see a Justice League in it because it wasn't so Down To Earth like Nolan's Batman Trilogy was. Fantasy is a MUST in these Movies and I'm so Glad that Nolan's Batman Trilogy is CLOSED from being Attached to this Superman Story because if it was then it would Ruin things in a way for that Batman. Hopefully MAN OF STEEL will be the beginning of a Great Universe for DC.Clark
