People overrated the fukk out of Batman Begins. Like you said it has more to do with how bad the movies before it were than how supposedly "great" Begins actually was.

Hell no. The story, the pace, and Bale's portrayal of Batman was the best out of the three in BB. In DK, the best thing out of that film was Heath's performance as the Joker. The pace was clunky and it made it seem way too long. And Batman was voiced by Cookie monster. In Rises, Bane was not on par with Ra's or Joker. Why Batman couldn't beat him the first time was . Nolan didn't do a good job of making Bane that much more of a bad-ass that he was whopping Batman like he was initially. Rises was still better than DK though because the pacing was better. And again, Cookie Monster was doing the voice overs

Watchman looked more realistic than Dark Knight trilogy and it had a naked blue man has one of the main characters. As well as other over the top characters but it looked they world they lived in was real.

Batman needs CGI in order to look good, we want to see an acrobatic fighting machine. nobody somebody with a metal gear solid sneak suit who can barely lift his arms.

most of the hype this movie is getting is due to two main reasons.

1. nolan fanboys

2. DC comics fanboys

I'd say the second is more of importance. DC comics fanboys are really hoping for this movie to take off cause of the success of Marvel movies and especially the Avengers. They're cause of the attention those movies as well as Marvel got compared to DC comics.

So now anytime a trailer or news comes out, DC comics fanboys hype the shyt out of it.

This is same with Batman. The series got progressively worse. IMO BB > DK > DKR. And for most casual fans who believe that DK was the best out of the bunch - they cite Heath Ledgers performance more than anything.

Will say it again. Iron Man 3 and Star Trek look way better. And most likely will draw more box office success than this one.
