Since gamepass dropped games have gone up from $60 to $80+

Now why wouldn’t gamepass price also go up?

Do AAA games no longer make sense cause their price keeps going up?

Make it make sense :jbhmm:
In a period of 2 years the price of the main subscription went from $16.99 to $30. That's an increase of around 44% in 2 years.
To sit back and pretend that the price increasing that much in such a small window isn't because a problem with the sustainability of the service is silly.

You're saying make it make sense seems pretty obvious. Mind you this is a service that the subscriber base stagnated and they didn't put out subscriber numbers for years because the actual subcount was lower than what was rumored online and they didn't want to put out official numbers that were lower.

In 2 years full priced games went up from $60 to $80+. That’s an increase of about 35% :damn:

Cac tweet “facts” :mjlol:

This is yall problem you take something just cause somebody tweeted it, then it forms your opinion while you ignore anything that may not support your opinion.

PS+ price has increased similarly. Such a failed unsustainable service :damn:

This is completely disingenuous because games vary in prices. You're taking a bar that Mario Kart World and a bunch of Switch games with Switch 2 DLC set and trying to act like that's a standard price across the board now. In 2023 most major AAA games were $70 and the typical one is still that in 2025.

Yeah cause pretending literally EVERYTHING on earth didn’t go up in price is totally reasonable :mjlol:
My criticism is not that the price went up it's that the price almost doubled in the span of 2 years . They also enshytified the service by taking once standard features and putting them at the highest price.

I'm trying to imagine Netflix out of the blue telling customers on anything but the highest tier they have to wait up to a year to stream new content.

OMG GAMEPASS!!!!!:damn:
If the price hikes on a piece of hardware you pay it once and own it. On a subscription service you pay increased prices in perpetuity and it doesn't get you ownership in anything. Those don't compare.

The new rates officially went into effect on April 16, 2025, marking the second major pricing update for many of these regions in less than two years.
