Just get a cheap analogue wrist watch and stick the mouse on top of it.

Setup your teams/slack to also notify you on mobile for all messages so you can screen/respond to them.

Of course none of this is gonna help if you’re being screened because you’ve given them reason to think you’re not being productive.

Yup.

My previous manager was actually really good, hardworking etc., and knew how to position you for promotions. From that standpoint she was awesome.

But.....she micromanaged like crazy. Always asking if you needed more work. Trying to figure out how long it took to do certain tasks by asking us individually so she could figure out how much spare time you had for side projects.

She was the type that would CREATE work for herself and do it. She expected us to be all Type A like her. In my previous post, I mentioned how easy it was early on at my last job. Got way harder over time because she was too damn nosy.
That’s called rewarding top performers with more work instead of bringing the lower performers up to standard. Only do as much as what’s required of the job. Once you over step that expectations of exceeding your contracted labor set in and you will be whored out.

my job doesn't care as long as we hitting our TATs and deadlines and you showing up for the meetings you got to be in.

sometimes im busy as fukk.... other parts of the year i'm regularly going idle lol:manny:

that goes for our entry level employees too. as long as you doing the job that needs to be done you don't have to be "pretending to work" for the whole 8 hours.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Doing too much. When I work from home, I know my computer goes to sleep every 15 minutes.

So I just play Madden, 2K, watch HBO or whatever and make sure I move that mouse every 15 minutes or so.

Aint been caught yet :russ:
Y’all can’t turn sleep off? shyt this ain’t my laptop… this screen is on and burnt all the way in

I work at job where they would have to tell us if they were monitoring us like that. And they may still be but no one has been fired for not working when working remotely.

My job is hybrid, so I work from home on Mondays and Fridays. When I work from home, no one is tracking me.

On the week of the 23rd, I have to be in the office all 5 days. For that week, they're having an on-site week and all the remote employees are flying into town. And there's stuff after hours too, dinners and drinks and other events. I don't really feel like going to any of them.

Yeah...on some of my remote days, if it is a work event, we have to go in. One crappy day vs 30 good ones is a good deal to me.

True.

Problem is that our WHOLE TEAM was comprised of top performers except one dude.

Everyone left except the one dude :russ: .

She was the type that all the people above her hated yet couldn't fire her because she was such a high performer and NONE of her bosses wanted to do her work. Crazy because she honestly had the hard skills to be a senior director or VP but her people skills hold her back.

She even acknowledged it. Like she KNOWS her soft skills are lacking. :manny:

Idiot. Use a HARDWARE jiggler that shows up as a generic input device, not software IT can detect. fukking moron :mjlol:
Quick question though, why are people installing software on their work computer?

Why not just log into teams or slyoe or whatever you use as a messenger via your personal computer and just install the software.

IT wouldnt be able to detect it on your personal comp, and even further, you cna always use your work computer and walk away
