I have heard of it, but never worked somewhere that uses it. Most hospitals, use EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, or McKeson when it comes to their electronic medical records system. The last place I worked used EPIC and Meditcech.

The company I work with builds software that hospitals use to capture patient utilization, quality metrics and patient safety data, and it can interface with all of the software I listed above.

my old job would get you certified. one of the girls that worked with me got her certification thru the job and then bounced

I don't blame her. she already had an MBA and an MPH, so she was probably extremely underpaid at the time.

That's what you're supposed to do LOL!! The job I'm at now uses a software called Qlikview (just another BI tool) and I saw a job that paid $155k. I'm going to get certified in it and then dip from here or at least tell them to pony up the dough!

a lot of companies will make you sign something where you agree to stay a certain amount of time if they invest the money in getting you certified in something.
