Projectors aren't the best option for brehs that game heavy.

I had a projector back when I was at my moms crib. Burnt through 2 bulbs in like 2 years...
:camby:

Yeah they are bigger, but the room has to be pretty dark all the time and you will have to replace the bulbs on them. A good TV will have you set for years without shyt happening to it.
Well the projector I mentioned has a 7000 hour bulb and cost about 150 to replace. There are also LED and Laser projectors with 30,000 hour bulbs which is the same life as a tv. I game heavy on my projector

The price of two games is worth two years of heavy gaming and movie watching on a 120" screen. To buy a tv nearly as good would be over $50,000 so $150 aint shyt

Once you go projector you never go back. Doing this shyt isn't as expensive as some of yall think. I highly suggest the Benq w1070 projector as a great entry level one, you can get it for around $800. It's 1080p, 3d, sharp as a razor, very bright and has next to no input lag so it's ideal for gaming. It also can project up to 300 inches haha. If you have a light controlled room in your house you can build a great entry level home theatre for around $3000.

I'm thinking of going projector as well. @Hiphoplives4eva has a nice setup. I don't want to do the theater seats though.

nah nah I dont do theater seats that's just some extra shyt. Biggest thing you need is light control unless you're only gonna use it at night. The projector I mentioned is very bright and if you buy a high gain screen(do your research) you can use it in the day but having a dim or dark environment is by far the best.

Good shyt. Everything you need is on avsforum and they will give you a great price, too(avscience their store) I'm heavy into this shyt and I can tell you from experience the benq w1070 is the best under $1000, the Sony HW40es is the best around $2000, the Sony HW55es is the best for around $3000 and then the JVC X500 (rs49) is the best for $4000. Look into those if you decide to do it.

I'm just saying it's something to think about when going that route. I personally don't want the added cost. I've been there and done that. I really don't upgrade my TVs like that anyway, so once I get a good set I'm straight for years. I've had my Sony Bravia joint for like 5 years now, it's a 40inch old flat screen, moved into my crib and it's in my bedroom mounted on the wall.

I have a 70in TV in the mancave, I don't plan nor see the need to upgrade anytime soon. It's been great for gaming, and I haven't had any issues, and that's going on 3 years. I plan on having this for a long time. So yes, 150 every year or 2 matters to someone like me breh.
