We actually getting some BIG main story progress here.
So basically we know get confirmation that the goal is to find Maru's twin brother. Now curious of their parents are still alive or if they will have to kill them along the way.
Also the ironic part of calling that academy 'Heaven' knowing the messed up stuff they were doing there.
Goddess Cafe Ch. 114
Kind of feel bad for Ouka but kinda nice she finally confirming her feelings. Also why is Kiku's clone so strong
Yea every scans group dropped the series they did. Which makes sense no point in doing that when an official translation is there. But god everything about it is awful. It makes the manga up seem decent in comparison and that one is bad too.
Like for majority of series the 2nd 50% of chapters is money walled and that is only to rent the chapters. Nowadays I just wait for certain sites to rip the officials. Like still waiting on Tenpuru ch. 83.
This was a phenomenial chapter focusing on Miyako's character.
Basically showcases how the entertainment industry exploits a young woman's looks and by just doing night work that was the thing she couldn't escape after being trapped in that field. But Ichigo saved her and gave her a dream and purpose. And him running away after AI died added on to the grief of AI dying and having to take care of the twins. Unlike him she still hasn't given up even if the odds are so thin now.
The volume was a slower and was very Sein focused. Which is still really good.
It starts with a great scene with Sein and his older brother. It is shown that his brother made a sacrifice so Sein could live out his childhood as intended. But the big key here for his brother there was 0 regret in his decision. Unlike with Sein who regrets not being with his friend as an adventurer. Seeing how Sein was around Frieren, Stark and Fern was really well down. His dynamic with Frieren is funny in the sense while Frieren is much older then him. She isn't suited to act like the adult mentor that he does when he resolves the petty arguments between Fern and Stark.
The biggest thing which is a theme of this series is Frieren wanting to give Sein the push he needed like Himmel gave to her when they first met. Also him trusting Frieren was a big moment for him when they encountered that reflecting plant monster. Tho there should be no reason not to doubt Frieren as a 100+ year old mage.
You also got a real nice moment with Stark when declining the offer from that lord. It could be easy for him to want to join him and have a replacement family But it wouldn't sit right with him and him saying he wants to make things up with Eisen is a big step for him. Also we see the bond between Stark and Fern growing. They fight after they each other, but the other really cares for the other. Frieren having to mangage their fights might not be the person up to the task.
Finally we have both Frieren and Fern taking the first class mage exam. It wasn't exactly planned but Frieren was able to get Fern to take the exam well. Her succeeding will be a big boost for her. On another we see a mage named Ubel who is a troublemaker mage that is also on Fern's team for the exam. I got a feeling this exam will be more stressful then it should be.
Another good chapter. the sister is confirmed Alive inside the brother. Gotta respect him for putting his life as a literal sacrifice in order for her to live again. Next chapter looks like a fun one.
This basically just covered the 1 of 3 parts of the magic exam. It was interesting how Fern and Frieren adapted to their groups. More so Frieren act in a more leadership role which is something we don't see too much so far. While Fern kind of did her usual role just like she has in the normal party.
Basically the rule is basically you need to catch a stille basically a pigeon that can sense mana. At first its seem like a harmless trial but its flies at the speed of light according to Frieren and if you have mana and come near it, it runs away. It makes a unique challenge that really feels luck dependent. Of course Frieren comes with a clever plan to capture using her magic and her ability to control her mana to where she doesn't need to depend on luck unlike the rest of the teams.
One of the new characters Denken is interesting in the sense where the title first class mage by itself holds no power. Basically without purpose its very easy for some to fell from grace or fall with temptations. One thing that is concerning that the instructors are having the test where monsters are more then capable of killing the contestants. It's sickening that they even suggest that they are better off dead if they can't pass.
Frieren's encounter with Denken's was an interesting one. Laufen basically moved at super speed to steal Frieren's stille. We get two fight and as expected Frieren beats Denken. Now we have the girls against Richter. But Frieren showing how ridiculously strong she is by destorying the barrier allowing the rain to pass through allowing the girls just what they need to beat him. Frieren is able trick Laufen to get back their stille.
We also learn that Flamme's master is Serie. Is the one who grants the first class mage the privelege of learning a grimoire of their chance. That sounds good in principle, but is the effort for truly worth it for the majority of applicants? We also see Frieren being flamme's apprentice and an association with Serie. You definetly get the sense these two will buttheads again.
But that we are moving on to part two of the exam where it looks like to be a good amount of 1 on 1 fights. Which should be interesting On another note Ubel seems to be able to copy powers by being able to empathize with them. She is def up to no good as expected.
So this vol finishes up magic exam are just basically.
So the 2nd exam is meant to demonstrate teamwork and unlike the previous exam where teamwork was purely forced upon. Here teamwork is not only encouraged but becomes a necessity. This is due to the clones which basically acts like copies of the candidates plus Sens. Sens, Frieren and Denken are really stupidly powerful mages. And fighting them head on is asking for disaster. This test serves a purpose on coordinating with others more then the first exam.
We get an insight on Serie and Frieren's relationship. Just like her relationship with Flamme, Serie's relationship with Frieren is very opposing. Frieren like Flamme would love the ability for magic to be freely learned by anyone. Serie is more of the thought process it should be used by a more selective view. Also elves lives being essentially infinite really makes you consider how they view their lives compared to humans. Humans will be the one to push for the change, which is how they have now entered the magic world. It really isn't new information rather we can get a feel with how Frieren looks at time.
Fighting even a clone Frieren feels like a fukking nightmare. But it feels destined that Freiren and Fern are the ones to team up to beat them. But it aint easy. Since both had to take a bit of a beating, but they get the job done. Also Ubel is a fukking psycho. All I know is you don't want to be near this chick
We get a nice moment with regard to Fern's staff. Since we have seen since Fern has grown up she has used only that staff. Heiter means so much to her and considering he gave her that staff, you can completely understand why she wouldn't want another staff. Frieren has a point from a partical standpoint. But we have seen how much Frieren has grown throughout her journey in this series. Her making sure Sern gets to keep her staff is such a great moment.
Serie ends up taking over for the 3rd exam for the surprise reason Frieren's presence has significantly favored those participants who would have failed. Basically she shouldn't be allowed to participate. Well as expected majority included Frieren fail the interview test with Serie. But it looks like Fern is one who will pass. But her saying no to being Serie's apprentice was hilarious
It fukking kills me that they always disrespecting that pedo teacher . He deserves every bit of it.
Blue Box Ch. 111
Natsu exerting her dominance in the relationship already. More good fluff as well.
MMA Ch. 7
As expected Kaz is a dikkhead. But that one flashback is something where you at least could see where he is coming from. Still he knows too well Nito is not on his goal. But now he got all the motivation he needs
Tenmaku Cinema Ch. 16 - Nice to everyone willing to push through with in the case of emergencies. Also Hinaki seems to have mother issues of some kind. Could be interesting what its all about when it becomes a more pressing issue.
Kill Blue Ch. 15 - The soccer arc is over. What a weird arc, but at the very least we are seeing that Juzo knows he can't bullshyt his way out of giving an S-tier athletic performance.
Ichinose Family Ch. 35 - Honestly at this point with all the twists the series is using it is starting to feel too much. It's a very interesting series, but there is no point in theorizing since shyt can come out of nowhere. Tho the part in this chapter when Souta yells at Tubassa just is so weird. Yes because that kid is the only one who had a rough upbringing. And not show any concern of showing him that he shouldn't be doing that. Chaos is guaranteed next chapter.

Because of his issues with his real family Sota is trying to maintain this unrealistic ideal of a perfect family. He yelled at him because his behavior goes against the fantasy that they've created where there isn't conflict only happiness, they're all just running from reality and the trauma of being hurt by their real families.
Almost finished with 365 Days to the Wedding. Will be getting an anime. By the writer of The World Only God Knows. It’s a solid adult romcom. The two lead characters are introverts but they have good chemistry. There’s a little of that I’ve never even kissed someone type nonsense but it’s not bothersome. It’s a 7.5/10. Bonus 0.5 for being about working adults and not about high schoolers.
